A question for Star Wars toy collectors...

I found all these star wars toys in my basement. Thinking about putting them up somewhere but most of them are missing their weapons and stuff. Anyone know where I can buy them? They're mostly the 90s Power of the Force Hasboro toys. Any type of weapons you find on ebay are usually all for the old 70s and 80s toys.

  • Unfortunately you're probably not going to have much luck finding individual weapons. POTF2 figures aren't very sought after by most collectors, and because every star wars collector back then bought them and they were overproduced, most of them are a dime a dozen. You find a lot of listings for just weapons for the vintage figures because a good bulk of the vintage figures for sale don't have their weapons included, but that's not the case with POTF2. You can find almost every figure with their accessories loose for a couple dollars, and a few more dollars for a carded figure. Your best bet would be to try and find some POTF2 weapon lots on ebay (I see 2 right now), but you'd be better off just buying the complete figure listings for individual weapons because you're gonna have a hard time finding the weapons alone for a decent price. It's just not cost efficient for sellers. You could maybe try looking at some collector forums too, but I haven't frequented one in over 10 years so I don't have any advice on that. The Star Wars Collecting subreddit tends to lean toward more modern figures. I think most collectors have moved over to facebook groups, just like the video game market.

Rebelscum.com is a good source for seeing which figures have which weapons. Just go to the Photo Archive and select Power of the Force 2. Some of them are very similar looking but have slightly different blaster moldings (like the Han Solo figures) if you care about being accurate.

With all that said, the POTF2 figures are some of my all time favorites because they're the ones I grew up on. I have a couple prototype figures and I am going to Star Wars Celebration next weekend and having my POTF2 Lando, Emperor Palpatine and Chewbacca figures signed.   Hope you're able to find what you're looking for!
  • Unfortunately, no, not for the late 90s or newer stuff. At best you could try to purchase "parts" or miscellaneous lots of stuff from that era and hope for the best, but most of the non-original-vintage stuff hasn't accumulated any value and thus little to no market for original or repro accessories, parts, etc.
  • Just sell them as is, probably more work than it will be worth in the long run to search out accessories
  • Melt em all together and sell them as one big fig.
  • Just do this to them:
