Anyone else playing this yet? This game is awesome! Lots of references to the original, lots of humor. I like how when you knock out Glass Joe croissants go flying everywhere. Disco kid screaming like a girl made me laugh too. Doc Louis said "join the nintendo fun.. um, i mean club nintendo today"
I also think its bad ass the opponents face gets messed up as you whoop on him!

Picked it up earlier.....loving it so far....one dude is a real bitch so far though in the Major Circuit....3rd guy in.....gotta figure out how to get by him...

do you think there is any bonus fights, like maybe more than 13 fighters???

After you get the title the game isnt over. It goes into "last stand" mode where you have to defend your belt. I think they mix in new fighters if you do good at this, but lose 3 times and you lose the belt. I read that you get to fight donkey kong in this mode!

Aside from 'career mode' there is an 'exhibition mode' where you can fight any dude you've beat so far and they give you 3 challenges to complete which is pretty neat. The first challenge for Glass Joe is to knock him down 3 times, but then let him win by decision lol

So far I must say I'm slightly disapointed in the new Punchout. It kinda feels more like Super Punchout than the original. Kinda missing the fun factor but it is still pretty good. Mario should still be the referee too.

I just tried it out. I like it! I got all the way up to Great Tiger before I got knocked out. But I went two rounds with Glass Joe, which is kinda embarrassing.

how is everybody playing this, with the motion control or the classic controller? from the video review, it looks like the motion control doesnt respond good enough to beat the more challenging guys.

I dont think you can use the classic controller actually, you have to use the wii-mote sideways. I never tried the motion way actually, I just did it old-school style.

The sideways wiimote works just fine. Really, the only difference from the old-school NES controller is hitting A for the star punch.



I've played the game more, and it is seriously awesome in my opinion. I've actually been kinda peeved I can't breeze through it because they've changed up the patterns on the characters. And that's a good thing.

I use the Wii motion controls. I think they're alright. But my right arm is sore.

im gonna have to get this on amazon cause its 40$ no shipping this game definitely became a buy when i found out the last boxer, also nintendo you are fucking awesome for doing this. I loved the cameos in the old gameboy games im glad that the cameos are back. This is awesome.

I just beat the last guy. It was a lot harder than I anticipated, but I got through it in an hour and a half.

I had a very hard time with Arin Ryan, and now I'm stuck at Soda Popinski. I must say, the more I play it the more I like it. I think my expectations were way to high.

the game is fukin awsome, and as nes boy said, thanks nintendo for doing this, your awsome, i cant get passed super machoman, been stck on him for 2 days, i love the comedy in this game aswell, i cant get myself away from playing, i also use the wii mote sideways, arin ryan is a bitch to beat, i couldent hit the fukin guy, and also bald bul was kinda easy, i know who the 13th guy is, but are there any bonus fighters??? anyone know

I didn't have too much trouble with Aryn Ryan once I finally figured out how to beat him. (Coked up little Irish monkey!) Sodapop seems like he's gonna be a bitch. Almost NO time to react before he's pummeling you.

yup there is tha last figter you get by beaten everything 100% this is the reason why punchout wii= win, im gonna try to order this game this weekend

I just got it yesterday. I think it is great. I am up to soda popinski. Just awesome.
