I have a huge bet on this, so please only answer if your sure.
OK, so this is not an answer, but just a thought . I assume you are talking about RBI 1 for the NES (not sure about the arcade game and such). I think the last actual player to retire was Julio Franco (2007, AL Allstars team),so I think they are all reitred. The only thing I can think of is that Tony Gwynn's son plays for the Padres. His name is also Tony Gwynn and I don't think he uses Jr., so what ever that is worth. I am pretty sure Tim Raines Jr. and Jose Cruz Jr. are no longer in the majors (to cover the sons with same names that I can think of).
Not 100% sure on this but 2,3,4,5 years ago there was a around 5 left on the NES version. The dee-nee web site or "one of those google rbi searches" had a "And then there was "4" story" I only remember this because I am in a yearly double elimination tournament which we are at Year 6 this fall and I was looking up all the stats of the players. Roger Clemens was one of them and I think he is out. The other 3 let me get confirmation on from fellow tournament players and I will get back to you.
Awsome question because I have always thought of this but never tried to figure it out.
My GUESS would be Tom Glavin, but possible Griffey, Randy Johnson, or Jamie Moyer?
I am pretty sure those guys were not on RBI 1, but then again, not exactly sure he was talking about RBI 1.
You're right. I see that RBI came out around 87 so Jr, Johnson, and Moyer would not be on there. The only active player I can think of with a long enough career to possibly reach back to 87 is Glavin, otherwise I have no Idea.

I think it was John Franco, Julio Franco, Clements, and Benito Santiago
The original RBI baseball has 1987 major league rosters... and Jamie Moyer (who is a starting pitcher for the phillies now) was a starting pitcher for the cubs in 1987! Tom Glavine may be on the game too, he was a late call-up in 1987 and started 9 games. Those are the only two I can think of!
