Post your childhood picture with videogame system

Here I'll start.

I was digging my old photos and found myself playing Nintendo. I will find more since I remember having other pictures of me with systems.

I believe this was from summer time of 1988 when I was 5.

Does anyone know what game I was playing. It released in the same year (1988).

I'll give you the hint of what game it is.



1) You can pick up plants.



2) There's one level in the cave you can seen weird faced plants on top of the screen.



I'm pretty sure everyone one know this game. Haha

    i work for a place that scans and edits old photographs. I have yet to find any cool christmas photos of kids playing video games, but i am looking everyday. I think i have some at my parents house, will post them if i ever get them scanned myself.

    That is cool. I love how close you are to the TV. My Mom always frecked whenever I did that saying it would make me go blind. Such a classic looking photo.

    @tuxedocivic, Haha my mom said the same thing. When I scooted up the tv and she was like "No, Luis, You don't wanna get blind from the TV". I also have those huge ass TV in the living room and my parents would pick me up from the ground and move me to the couch >_> and it was from those polaroid camera. I miss those time.



    @OneColdMonkey, NES_HERBALIST is right, it was one of those old cassette in the case. It was my dad's favorite cassette. Like the 50s and 60s music in it.

    ?? 1989 - I just know in my gut by the look of frustration on my face im playing Adventure Island. Such a classic pic, how my cheeks are puffed up letting out a huge sigh as the picture is snapped, I've always loved this pic.

    Oh man I remembered few things in the picture. I remembered those pants. I loved them! Those old pepsi soda can. I remembered those kind of shoes that your brother(?) wearing. I missed the 80s and early 90s.

    I was thinking the same thing!  He must have been the coolest kid on the block with Mario for a dad!  (though this is tempered significantly by the bra-less female relative) image

    Maybe I'll post some more when I find them, I know I have tons. This is all I could find. I think Mario Paint was my second game after SMW. I loved playing the fly swatter and the music games, screw the painting.

    image This one is in early 90s. My dad felt bad for me that I didn't do well in Baseball practice.... so after the game he and I went to gamestore and I got a game. Haha
