Poll of the Day (6/11/2009)

The way I see it... Canada could have had British Culture, French Cooking, and American Technology, but instead we ended up with American Culture, British Cooking, and French Technology!

    eh?
  • USA! USAimage USAimage

the fact is, we have a MUCH larger population, thus, by default have more beautiful women and more fat people as well.

Though, through my own observation, the best looking people tend to live in southern states on the coasts. Something about sunshine and needing to take care of yourself to look good in less clothing.

    Newfies, I guess.

New Yorkers are so obnoxious...though New Englanders are a close second.
  • Canada sucks. Southerners are completely impossible to understand.

Hey watch it MRN.. I resemble that remark!  oh wait, I resent that remark..

Although I am not a true born and raised Southerner, I've only live here most of my life but not all!
  • I was talking to Aaronshea the other day and used "ya'll" he and his wife laughed image
  • god i am glad we are just about normal here up in the NW
  • MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Dunkin donuts is the fuel everyone needs to get hooked on. Tim Horton can suck on an egg or my third tusk.

I think my midwestern accent is pretty decent. I'm a yankee. When i go south. I aint havin no funs.

I could... but then I'd have to put one for you too.  "Erik and his slightly south-western twang"
  • In this economy I gotta say Canada is a better place to live for me. My inlaws keep begging us to move south of the border but how could I get a job. Here I'm a little better off. I accedently voted for better women here too, but my wife is American so I should have voted for USA on that, oops.

U.S.A. sucks. And the Cape Bretons speak an entirely different language, lol.
  • We may have a poor health care system and a grossly overweight population, but you'll never catch me eating snacks flavored like Ketchup or wearing a tuque.

Don't even get me started on drinking homo milk. What's wrong with you people?

  • actually America has a pretty good healthcare system, it's just that you have to be rich to get the full benefits..
  • ^ Very true, probably the best in the world as long as you have a job, can afford the deductable, and your insurance covers more than 80%.
  • well alrighty

I think that statement in itself is a contradiction. You're lucky I'm not arch_8ngel, or this'd be a war. image
  • I've never lived in America, so I wouldn't know.

I dunno, the cuteies come out in droves here during the summer, but during the winter they're in hibernation or something, so you only get like 3 or 4 months of beautiful women, tops.

Unless TV has lied to me, America is fatter than Canada. I trust TV.

Tim Horton's. The coffee isn't really 'good' per se but they put like crack in it or something so you can't stop going.

I have worked with a lot of Newfies over the years. I still have no idea what they're saying.

    CHOWDAH
  • I've never lived in Canada, but from the few Provinces I've visited I'd prefer to live in the states. I did manage to see some hotties in Victoria and Calgary, but still think US women are better looking.I imagine the ratio of obese to skinny in Canada is prob close to the same as the US. I know they love fast food up there just as much as we do down here. I can't stand midwestern accents (no offense) Minnesota, Wisconsin, ect. I aslo don't like French Canadian accents.

Hah!  I actually agree with Paul, sorry image  (though I'm flattered that you "admire" my tenacity image )

The quality of care that CAN be had here, is superior to anywhere else in the world.

You get what you pay for. (ignoring the fact that socialists pay for their universal healthcare through egregiously high taxes)

Not to derail things, or make this a serious debate, at all...
  • But we weren't talking about the quality of care necessarily, but the SYSTEM, and any system that necessitates that you have wealth to reap its full benefits is broken.
  • That and Canada's highest tax bracket is about a mere 3% more than the US highest tax bracket. I'm also pretty sure our lower brackets are actually less than the US. So we don't actually pay as much as you might think Nathan.

Also, if you're willing to pay, those same services CAN be had as a Canadian too. You're right though, I don't mean to create a debate.
  • United States.

    I don't know.

    United States, hands down.

I don't drink coffee. I love the smell of it, however.

    Newfies.

    Texans, easily. X_X

no way dude it's a socialist nightmare here we toil in the fields all day harvesting wheat all for the czar and what do we get in return?
