  • NTSC, licenced by Nintendo of America. Was supposed to come out in 1988.
  • That's rad! Hope you dump it image
  • ^ great snag for you. I just searched it out a bit after i posted my question. Are you planning to dump the game? repro it? or just share to the masses image

  • I've already dumped it, I just don't know yet what to do with the ROM image. Probably play it to death first.
  • haha, good call.. well if you get interested in repro'ing it hit me up image
  • Looks awesome!!! i want to play it. Somebody needs a tripod or a sturdy stack of books.
  • it just amazes me that there are still being new protos found 20+ years later
  • Wow, one of the cooler unreleased games. Dump!!! image
  • freaking awesome!!!! release it! image

  • Hey I got a great idea, how about we all donate $20 for you to dump it and then you can keep the cart just as a token of our appreciation!

  • Thank god someone understands my sense of humor. I figured I was going to get clubbed over the head for being negative again.
  • ^ I got it and smiled. I started thinking.."Oh crap here we go again"
  • I would much prefer you dump and release this game:

  • ^Post of the day!!!!!
  • Rom hack!! Rom hack!!
  • Neat!

Released as Aigiina no Yogen: Balubalouk no Densetsu Yori in Japan.

Any story on how the dude found this?
  • this is freaking sweet man! congrats on the find!
  • If you don't mind asking, how much did this set you back? I read over on the lost levels forums that this cost you less than Dream has been charging for his dumps, so I just wanted to put it in perspective.

Almost every single one of the unreleased NES games that I've purchased have been less than $1k, that appears to be the realistic value of what most people are willing to pay.
  • I love how clueless they sound while playing it. "I think you're supposed to push up those thing", "It's kinda like zelda", "Who ever buys this is gonna have to build a rig to hold it in". haha.

It was less than that, but I don't really wanna go into specifics. I'm still happy with my purchase image

  • ^^^^ Agreed! This is a very kick ass prototype and looks to be a very fun little game. Like Qix mentioned earlier, if you need help releasing it, we can give you a whole bunch of info.

Congrats again on a very cool find!

Bought it from a friend in a lot of games. The friend had never even played it.
  • Looks like a fun game, let us know if you find out what you're supposed to do in the game image

It's cool that these unreleased protos appears from nowhere, it's almost like back in the 80's when a new game came out to the stores.
  • It's pretty fun actually, you kill enough monsters to make the exit appear but in some levels you need to find a secret exit. It's sort of like Solomon's Key meets Bubble Bobble. I'll definately need the FAQ for this.
  • RIP Aigina's Prophecy.

Seriously though, any news on a ROM dump, repro, or who currently owns this?

It's on the Famicom, and was released in english on the C-64. There's also a partial nes translation out there, so we're not really missing much of the game.
