  • You can use many flash programs and specialist .GIF animation programs (PIVOT is good) but you can't animate your avatar. They allow .gif avatars but it won't be animated.

You can, however, have an animated signature. See mine.
  • Just an opinion, but I find the flashy ones really distracting. Something like what MRN has is pretty sweet though.

    Wrong, but thanks for playing.
  • I've always wondered this, anyone wanna share the secret with me?
  • After working on it for so long, I finally got it with Dain's help. It is possible, but the gifs can't be over...i think it was 100x100 pixels otherwise the animation will be removed. No secret, just don't use something to complex.
  • I ones that I use have all been ones I found on the net and just resized using an animation program. If I recall, they didnt work if they were too big so I had to shrink most of them.

    Try this for resizing:

*face-palm* Of course! How could I have not seen Mario bumming a Koopa. XD
  • Go to downloads.com and get a gif animation program. I think mine is called photoscape 3.3 or something. It's free.
  • Back when I had Linux, I had a nifty program called GIMP...it did the trick very nicely image . All you have to do is draw your base frame, add extra opaque layers (one per frame), draw their respective frames in the animation, and name all the layers according to their position in the animation and how long you want them to show (in milliseconds; example: "Frame 01 (200ms)"). Very simple to use, btw...before GIMP, I had absolutely zero experience in animation.
