I can try making one for you. I'm interested in what kind of results could be had as well. Hell the way these skyrocketing in price, someone should start making repro's of them!

Are we going to get to a point where we need PCB scans before buying a rare game.

Ok which one is fake?? Probably not too hard to tell, but it looks pretty good for my first attempt! I need to look for a more suitable paper to print it on and tweak the image a little bit and then I might actually be able to fool someone
Yep, the paper I was using was a little on the thick side so when I cut it, it kinda furred the edges a little, that's where the white is coming from. There is an obvious shade difference between the 2 as well. I'll try your hawk eyes again Sivak once I get some new paper to test on
Another smal issue is the rounding of corners. I'm almost tempted to ask you, if you can perfect this, if you could print out a label for my repro cart of my rom hack? What DPI is this being printed at?
Yeah I wasn't too careful with the corners, that shouldn't be too tough to get right. As for printing you a label, yeah I'm cool with that. In fact if I find a good way to go about this, I intend to let everyone know how to do it. I've asked some others how to make nice labels in the past, but most are pretty tight-lipped on the subject, like it's a big trade secret
I scanned the label at 600dpi and printed at 600dpi.
What I would do for the corners is get a round edge, like a penny and measure and cut with a knife or something. I know getting small measurements can be tough, but I think it'd work.
Better yet, scan it as a square and draw red round lines on the image edge and use the round edge that way.

The one on the right.
Yup, definitely. Corners, as well as some white at the edges
