This may sound silly but anyone have a price guide for instruction booklets?

I am still pretty new to NES collecting and I pretty much have only collected loose games but I know on here that some people are always wanting manuals for certain games and some of them are worth quite a bit.

There is a game store a few towns over that has a box full of instruction booklets and while more than likely they arent worth much of anything I thought I would go through it and see what I could find. The only problem is I wouldnt know which ones to look for. Anyone have a list of the ones that are worth something?

  • Oh btw, those are all NTSC, I didn't include any other regions.
  • Thanks! I will print out a list before I go back over to that game store.
  • If they are all $1 each I'd buy any of the black box manuals in nice shape too for $1 each other than Golf, Baseball, Kung FU, Excitebike, 10-Yard Fight. If they were minty I'd buy any of the BB manuals for $1 each. I'd also buy any Kid Icarus manuals you might find in nice shape, for some reason KI manuals are usually beat to heck.

    Does BB mean Bubble Bobble?
  • No, he means Black Box.
  • oh, right... thanks
  • oh and Wacky Races I hear that is a Hard one Contra Force as well (ps I need one in nice shape image
  • Wacky Races is definitely hard (I only have it boxed), but that game is no where near as expensive as people made it out to be. A month or two ago people were talking about it being a $100 CIB, this one went for $42 and might have gone as low as $36 if I didn't place my generic reseller snipe at $41.

Still say manual is a solid $25-$30 (even though nesruler is paying $35), but it's still a $70-$75 CIB tops.
  • I hear Race America has a tough to find manual.
  • $10 to you if you find me that stadium events manual.. plus shipping!
  • i thought the general rule for MOST titles is half the cart only price??
  • Contra Force, Last Action Hero, Dusty Diamond Softball... also very nice ones to stock up on if you can find them.
  • Color a Dinosaur is pretty HTF too, no ?
  • yep, snow brothers, fire n ice, chip n dale 2, duck tales 2....there are TONS!! At $1 each, try to get them to come down and just buy all of them. You can sell the rare ones and make lots out of the rest. If there are as many as you say there are, then they should come down quite a bit. That or just print that entire list and have fun looking. image
