  • no manuals... wait, i lie. there was a blades of steel manual. these were supposed to be boxes only (and the majority of them were supposed to have styros). i ended up getting surprises of a few games still in original seal, 1 color dreams dust sleeve, 1 acgi dust sleeve, 14 tengen sleeves, 8 baggies for games, and a few inserts. all of that was unexpected, so i was happy to see it in there. i need all the CD and ACGI sleeves i can get. also, i needed at least 5 or 6 more tengen sleeves, so this covers my needs perfectly.

i couldnt resist opening the last box. see first post for updates
  • also, to add a little more insight into how i got the seller to respond to me, it is plain and simple: i was honest with him. im not out to rip people off or lowball them. as soon as i saw what he sold the few BINs for, i messaged him and said that he was selling his boxes for far too cheap and i would be willing to pay more for them. from then on, we exchanged at least 1 or 2 emails a day for like 2 weeks until he finally typed out some lists and we finalized a number. as soon as he told me he had 750+ nes and 650+ snes boxes, i sent him an offer of $2500 (which is definitely a lowball offer) without knowing the titles. after he sent the titles, we worked out a final number. needless to say, they werent cheap, but it was definitely a great deal for me considering the titles in here.

okay, enough background... i have to upload the final pics! enjoy!
  • That's just... phenominal.
  • i just want to say that that is a retarded amount of boxes. Can i have some?
  • That firs pic is beautfiul! Not only badass boxes, but duplicates of many of the great ones! Too bad not 2 little sam's. Congrats on the score seth, looks like a sick haul =)

  • Damn, hootie, I hope you threw back a beer to the gods that were smiling on you. Awesome job!
  • all the boxes will eventually be up for grabs... yea yea i have been saying this for a long time, but we all know that i will organize them, take them home, and never get rid of them.

i totally INTEND to sell them! i know i can help a lot of people fill their needs lists whenever i get around to it!

this is definitely a record thread for me. almost 100 posts and almost 1000 views! ive never authored a thread like this before! damnnnnnnnn! maybe i can get a pic of all of the boxes once i alphabetize them... that is of course if i can fit them all on my floor.

  • Can you post close ups of the SNES boxes?  anything good come from those?

Everything looks great.. and all this time I thought you were just a tease.
  • i dont know what is good or not in the snes stuff. im not even going to organize that, and i will keep it all to jump start a snes collection! i do know there were 2 or 3 final fight 3s, but i do know there werent any mega man stuff or many rpg things (but i already have all of that). it wasnt all sports stuff either. lots of different titles there (probably at least 450-500 different ones).

im definitely not a tease... i put out!
  • nice pick up, what was the final price you paid for it all, c'mon man you said it yourself your not a tease and you put out,

    so... how much?
  • wow that is alot of cardboard. awsome

  • around 1.75 a box for snes and 3.00 a box for nes. that is a high price for a bulk lot, but as you can tell, this wasnt the ordinary bulk lot! seller was happy, and i sure am happy as well. updated the first post with a pic of all of them together!
  • Who just has 100+ lbs. of game boxes laying around? Very interesting find...

    ME!
  • I just think it was strange that the seller just happened to have that many boxes.
  • it was a used video game store that kept the boxes for display purposes only. the store is close to where sosafan lives and he tried to purchase all of them many times in the past but the store owner never wanted to sell. well, now i guess the store needed some more storage space, so they were selling a few piece by piece until i stepped in and cleaned them out!
  • Would you happen to have a box for S.O.S (Vic Tokai version) for the SNES?
  • i honestly have no idea what is there in regards to the snes stuff! sorry!
  • still waiting for that email whenever you get a sec.
  • Congrats.

    Al
