Caltron 6-in-1 Back Cover

Does anyone have any pictures of the back cover of Caltron 6-in-1?  I got 1 but need to make sure it is legit.  What is the back side of the cartridge supposed to look like?

The back of mine is baby blue and says "Cassette"  in big black letters.  Then has a diagonal stripe that says "quality guaranty"

  • i think yours is the euro version, but not sure
  • I was thinking the same thing.
  • Yep Euro version. The US one is black I believe. There is a big debate if they should count towards an NTSC complete set. Most I have discussed this with, say only the black label one counts toward the set.
  • I say only the black one counts towards the USA set. The Euro ones are being debated as to wether they are pirates or not, that was a huge S*** storm debate earlier. The thing that bugs me with the blue back ones is that ROBE seems to have found a supplier with huge quantity of them and they all appear to be new carts in plastic baggies. Almost like someone found the original leftover supply that was never boxed up for sale and is now selling them off through ROBE and others.
  • yup, i totally agree. i say that the blue back caltrons are like the aladdin deck enhancers / games. to me, they are pretty much worthless. i wouldnt pay $50 for one of those.
  • Thanks for all the info. That is very helpful to know. I do have the European one and I will NOT count it towards a NTSC collection.
  • Buncha snobs... Don't worry little euro Caltron, I still love you... (I think this is what creates fanboys. I paid money for the euro version, now feel compelled to defend it and my choice. image)
  • You guys shouldn't forget the US blue back version, otherwise new collectors will just get confused image

So there is a US blue back version too?  How do you tell the difference between the US blue back and the Euro blue back?
  • This thread shows an American blue-back Caltron:

It's the only one I've ever seen with my own eyes (and I don't intend on selling it anytime soon, either, unless I can get, like, $1500 out of it or something image ).
  • Euro Caltron doesn't work on a non-region free European nes. I have a blue-back euro Caltron myself and I tried it on my original euro NES, but it does not work, screen just flickers and you can see the start screen, but it just resets then. So I tried one on a lockout chip free nes and it works well. So, it must be a pirate or en ntsc cart. I don't have an ntsc nes so can't test that out.

Can anyone test and confirm that on ntsc nes?

If you mean the 'cassette' back Caltron, yeah, it works on NTSC NESes. I tried it on my toaster a while back.
