SNES prototype found
Checked out their store Yesturday super guys, I asked them if they had any games that looked different and they showed me an SNES game which was tucked away nicely from sight .They weren't sure if it was a prototype or not but definatly knew it was unique because it said Konami on the back with all the return information. no label on the front.
they asked me if I would be able to tell if it was one or not. and I said I probably could.
sooooooo
they cracked the puppy open with the 3.8 mm security bit. and right away it had a little sticker on the back side unfortunatly I didn't think to write down the info on it but I might stop by tommorow to take some pictures because I noticed that they are open.
anyways back to the cart
Flipped the puppy over and right away I knew it was a prototype. board had Eprom written beside the epromS
2 Eproms Hardwired into place on a board that has battery backup. the game is NFL Football by Konami.
here is a link to their website http://www.toyratt.com/ they are also a member here. they weren't sure what it was worth so they really weren't willing to sell it right away. eproms have dates on them I just can't remember them for some reason 94 sticks out in my mind though. game does start up but unfortunatly they didn't have the released version of it so I/They weren't able to tell any difference between it and the final version
if anyone wants to purchase it I'd recommend calling them directly from the phone number on their website... just not right now kind of late...

That's cool of them to show you the cart, and prototype finds in the wild are always exciting.
Assuming it's the same as the released version, it's probably worth $35-$70. i know that seems extremely low, but SNES sports prototypes are hard to give away. Here's an example of one that just ended (open auction):

With that being said, if it's different than the released version it would likely command a higher price tag.
Very cool find. If they happen to post pictures be sure to update the thread!
