World Class Track Meet

Sorry if this was already explained. I performed a quick search and could not find the information I am looking for.

What is the proper packaging that came with the game World Class Track Meet? I am talking about the standalone game cartridge, not the version of the game that is bundled with Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt. Thank you for your time.

I believe it was called 'Stadium Events' or something obscure like that.
  • World Class Track Meet was known as Stadium Events when it was first released in 1987 by Bandai as one of two games (Athletic World being the other) to go along with Bandai's Family Fitness Pad. Nintendo bought the rights to the Fitness Pad shortly after its release and renamed it the Power Pad and changed the name of Stadium Events to World Class Track Meet after they bought the rights to the game as well. World Class Track Meet never came boxed by itself. It was the pack-in game to the Power Pad.
  • Really? This whole time, I thought that it DID have retail packaging. Did it have a sleeve at least?
  • My guess is that it came with a sleeve, though I'm not 100% sure. I would be surprised if didn't come with one.
  • Thanks for your responses. I'm talking about World Class Track Meet (NES-WT-USA) not Stadium Events. I know they're basically the same game but I was asking about WCTM specifically. image

So the World Class Track Meet standalone cartridge came bundled with the Power Pad, correct? Does anybody know all the contents of the Power Pad? Did WCTM come with a sleeve? Did the Power Pad come with a plastic bag? I want a 100% complete copy of WCTM but to do that I consider it necessary to have a 100% complete Power Pad (since that's what it came bundled with).
  • Correct, the only way you could get the stand alone World Class Track Meet cartridge was with the Power Pad. I'm not sure if the game came with a sleeve or the pad with a plastic bag. The manual for the Power Pad and World Class Track Meet are combined into one booklet, so there is no individual manual for WCTM or the Power Pad. Hope this helps you out.
  • Found the answer out myself lol. Yes, it did come with a sleeve, and I'm pretty sure the Power Pad didn't come in a bag, but rather a box of its own.
Here's where I found that out.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure about the sleeve, because the link was for a slightly different bundle.
