yeah I gotta say I am throwing in the towel... I cant get past this cryptogram and from what I read from everyone's posts that the next step is even harder, I think this might be a good time to call it a night.
I'm Pathetic! I tried to enter the Contra code when I saw the clue but couldn't get anything to happen. Now, it's been confirmed you enter the code on the page and I still can't do it!
Should i have received some type of confirmation after I was finished? I know I did everything, but I never received anything after I completed the last step.

THE SCAVENGER HUNT IS NOW CLOSED. You can still try for fun but all 50 free entries have been given away.
The real contest will start August 26th and everyone can enter up to 5 times. I'll be posting the full details on the site later today for those who didn't complete the scavenger hunt.

Lincoln was first. Then a guy named James, then Phil (sorry don't know their user names), then Dain was right after that. There was about 20 minutes separating these entries.
Now that its over could someone PM me and explain the cryptogram answer???
The clue was "Dvorak" written ahead of the cryptogram. You need to find a diagram of a Dvorak keyboard layout and translate the message from Dvorak into QWERTY.
EDIT to add: this was the clue with the error of "_" instead of "-". JJ used a " [ " character when he should have used a " ] "
