I don't buy up all the prototypes that hit the market because for the most part I already have them. (And before anyone goes off on me, that is not intended as a swipe at anyone). If I want something bad enough, I'll bid high on it, if not, I probably already have it....And when I say "market" I mean open market bidding war/ebay. All the NES protos I see on eBay lately I have already...
To me "market value" is something on the open market. I can't recall the last time an unreleased NES game hit the "open market" because privately everything can be had way cheaper depending on the person you get stuff from but my point is (and I think the intended market) is unreleased protos and one offs in this thread can go very high privately if you are the only person with said game(s) but not necessarily released protos...
Beaglepuss is on the money on the released prices, but undumped/unreleased stuff at open market value could be anybody's guess because we never actually see auctions end for those things to the highest bidder with the exception of an unreleased Genesis game in Europe that went for near $1600 when it was on the open market, so the sky is the limit depending on who the bidders are.
The last unreleased undumped NES game that went on auction without a way cheap BIN was Fighting Simulator 2 in 1 for $1750+ about 7 years ago and I was outbid on it at about $1600, so I was only 3rd....that is what tells me if people had a chance for it on open market without eBay pulling, games like this could go stupid high.

That's pretty much point on. I failed to take into consideration that essentially every game I listed was in your collection already lol.
Excellent point on the unreleased stuff not hitting the open market. I could see a game like Hoppin' Mad sell for $800 at open market due to the fact that it's incomplete and was released on another platform(s),. A game with more history (say Earthbound) could command MUCH more. It really depends on who has the $ at the time, and who's looking to spend it.
When Fight Sim went on sale, I think there may have been more heavy hitter in the game. Other than you, I think a lot of the other guys moved away from NES prototype collecting a while (you would know more about this than I would of course, but that the way it seems). With that being said, that game would most certainly sell for 2K plus on the open market today.
