Best Price you Ever Got on Ebay

Okay, so let's hear about those ridiculous prices you got for some of the most common games that you have ever received on eBay. One time I got $16.50 for a copy of Burgertime and the guy actually paid me. On other occasions, I got a $31 bid for a gold edition copy of Zelda 1, the fuck-ass never paid, I relisted and then got $10 or so. Another time someone bid $30 for a copy of River City Ransom and again the asshole never paid. So let's hear about some of the best prices ever on regular games, and whether or not they actually paid.

  • I got $21 on a Paperboy cart-only about a year ago and the buyer paid!
  • I got $50 for a chiller cart with a sticker on it.
  • I got $20 something for a gold Zelda, and not only did the guy pay, he threw in an extra $20 for overnight shipping!

Holy crap. That's desperation and I can't think of any reasonable explanation for it.
  • I got something like $40 for a loose Mega Man 4 (Game Boy) once... Grant that it was going to the UK, but still...I was far more than surprised (I paid a quarter for it at a local thrift store, and was expecting around $15-$20), and even moreso when I saw the money sitting in Paypal the next morning. I also got $173 or so for a sealed DDR Mario Mix (Gamecube)...the last one that sold for that much, actually. A third event of slight overbidding came on a factory-sealed Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II PS2 that I was selling. It ended for something like $86 after shipping (bought it from Wal-Mart only a week or so prior for $26.94 plus tax). Can't really say I have anything NES-related I could add into this, though...
  • I just recently sold a busted-ass looking Gold zelda cart (not very much gold remaning!) for 12.50$, and Simon's Quest for 10.50$.

Then again I've sold some items lower than normal, so it averages out a bit sometimes.
  • I got $36 paid for Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! cart only! I went ahead and shipped via priority for free image
  • $36 for Contra, buyer paid immediately.

2 copies of Bubble Bobble each sold for $41 in a dutch auction, both buyers paid.

$51 for Metal Gear, but buyer never paid image
  • I put a boxed Double Dragon PAL B as a BIN for 39EUR + shipping - noone bought it. Than I started it as an auction 1EUR starting bid and sold it for 43EUR (~54USD) hehe
    Buyer paid
  • sold a coleco power cable for $45 once
  • Nistle: I kinda have to ask...which one? The one that plugs directly into the wall (similar to a NES AC adapter), or the one that has a cord to plug into the wall (similar to an Xbox 360 power brick)? If it's the latter, to be honest, I'm not that surprised. $45 is high, yes, but the one with a cord to plug into the wall is quite rare, and normally fetches $20-$30 on its own.
  • It plugs straight into the wall. Its really really big. It doesnt have a power brick like the 360 but i guess the whole thing itself could be considered a power brick.

    just like this one

  • That's the more common of the two types...OK, you win image . That one normally fetches $10-$15.
