Dopes anyone have a rough ballpark estimate, or even better, an exact count of the amount of games released in the NTSC GameBoy, GBC, N64, SNES, and Genesis libraries? I know the NES is 772, but throw me a bone here...

  • Are you looking for the vintage releases or including homebrews/pirates/repros? If it is vintage check the database here. If you want to include ALL releases or repros you my dear are opening a can of worms.

    Hell the community as a whole cant agree on what exactly constitutes a COMPLETE NTSC set on anything. For example: Are the "newly found" Caltrons considered part of the NTSC NES set?....
  • I think N64's NTSC library is right around 300 titles.
  • Search the Forum. There are about 100 threads that deal with this.

    I thought the NES was 776.
  • the NES is 677
  • There are 677 licensed but I think the OP was refering to the entire NTSC set which includes the unlicensed as well. image

    Both of you are my heroes.
  • Genesis - around 700
    Sega CD - around 150
    SNES - around 725
  • I'm pretty sure this is how it stacks up...

    NES = 766 (not counting Racermate, NWCs, or the Aladdins)
    SNES = 724 (I think...it may be 726)

    N64 = 298 (I think...it may be 299)

    Game Boy = 511

    GB Color = 452

    Genesis = 699

    Bella: The newly-found Caltrons with light blue back labels are PAL image . The blue-back NTSC Caltron has a more royal-blue label with a phone number that traces to somewhere in/near Los Angeles (219 area code, I believe).
  • Wouldn't an NTSC set include games from Hong Kong, Peru, Japan, Mexico etc.
  • Thanks Matt.
