Does anyone here own any original NES box art?

And by box art, I mean the literal original paintings that were used for the boxes themselves. I imagine these exist somewhere though the only one I've ever seen is for some crappy intellivision game that my friend purchased from the original programmer of said crappy game.

I personally would want the NES Strider or SNES Contra 3 (which I remember blowing my mind when I was 11 or so), though I don't think I could afford either.

  • I know Bronty and buyatari both have some nice paintings of a few games. I have a boatload of it, but mine is all Color Dreams stuff but mostly for the manuals.

  • I have a test slide for the Namco version of Pac-man.
  • I have a few unreleased Color Dreams original box art as well, but that's it.
  • I was going to make a run at some Hammerin' Harry box cover art when it was on EBay maybe a year ago. It was a very large piece, ended around $300 if I'm not mistaken. Totally forgot to set a snipe on it, still bummed I missed that one.
  • I talked with the guy who did the original artwork for HAL (Lolo series + many others)... he still has his but doesn't want to sell them. He went to the University of Oregon image
  • whoa thats rad. did you offer to buy them, or was he just straight up not interested in any offers? i would probably drop $500 for some lolo boxart
