full of shit?

if he's telling the truth that has got to be the most amazing steal a game collector could ever hope for.  extremely hard for me to believe him though, especially without pics.

    Lol
the ppl on there believe him lol

  • lol @ one of the quotes on there:

"Wow, you can sell that thing from $900 to $20,000! You're good for college my friend! "

That's quite a price range don't you think? lol. Show me some $900 NWC Gold and I'll buy em up all day (as anyone would).
  • 2 gold cartridges, yet there is a Zelda and 2 Micro Machines??? AND an NWC. That makes 4, ya right.
  • I dunno, sounds legit to me. lol
  • ^How can you be so sure? The man posted no pictures and sounds like he doesn't now a lot about nes games. He just wants attention, probably.
  • Smells worse than a central park porta-potty.

DreamTR tracked down all of the ones that were still in winner's hands over a decade ago. Everyone that has one now, knows what it's worth, period.
  • Someone open a window!
  • who goes to petes game room? pete and his butt buddies?
  • He says a cart only Zelda is worth $30?! I thought that sentence was more shocking than the gold NWC comment, since that's obviously false.

Also, who the hell wouldn't take pictures of a find like that?
  • ^^^Agreed. If he actually had a Gold NWC, he would have posted 80 million or so photos of it. Just like you or I would.

Haha, I was just gonna post the same thing. Maybe if he gets lucky enough, he'll be able to sell it for 150 and double his money!
  • If you're gonna make a story like that, don't use all the cliches in the book! Conveniently, he put it in a bank deposit, so that means no pictures.

Now, I could make up a better story, and I bet if I went on there and posted it, they would believe me.
  • yah, the fact he thinks loose Zelda is a $30 game (easy at that) definatley makes me question anything else he says. tard.
  • i signed up for the site when it first came out thinking it had potential to be a good forum, it pretty much sucks. i think the average age of the members is 8-13 or 15(something like that, i remember the thread). i went back today and came across that thread, my first reaction was that he's nothing more than an attention whore. if you own a gold nwc cart you have to know what it's worth or atleast have some background info on it. his story is just ridiculous.
  • I hope he finds this thread. He really needs to back up his case.
  • i was thinking a bowl of lucky charms for breakfast today, but I'm feeling more like a big heaping pile of shit would suit me just fine!
  • there actually was one found for $2 at a flea market years ago. still have the $2 red dot sticker on it. It's possible, but not feasible. DreamTR did contact all the winners, but not all of them had their carts still, so it is possible a few are still out there in the wild.

Most likely BS, but ya never know.

Not sure if the story was true but i remember somewhere someone saying they saw a nwc gold cart at a good will or somewhere but someone grabbed it before they could, this was like a good while ago  way before much of anyone knew about the nwc

  • Pure advertising if you ask me. Quite obviously a dealer, and check out his last post:

Thanks for checking out my thread!

Check out my other threads in the Buying & Selling section of the forums if you like rare & sealed games!
