Top Loader box question

Is there some kind of individual code on the Top Loader boxes that cooresponds with the one on the actual system? Just wondering, because I'm gonna eventually get a boxed Top Loader somehow, and my local game store has a display box that I'm gonna try to "take off their hands."

I have a top loader in the Control Deck: New Design box and it does not have a serial number on the box or even a cut out for one. I think the box will be transferable to any top loader deck.
