Finally got A Wii

Went to wal mart today and they actually had a few wii's they just got in. ive been looking for one since they came out. they are pretty much impossible to find around here. Sadly tho by the time I got home it was time to go to work. but Im going to give it a try when i get home. what are the must have games for it.

    Congrats man!! The Wii is a fun system. I enjoy mine alot. Once you get it hooked up and configured we can share friend codes if you want and swap Mii's image

    you gotta get metroid, zelda, super paper mario and mario party 8 is great if you have 3 other people to play with.

    I've not turned mine on in the last 8 weeks, its not gripped me so far. I've yet to fully complete zelda as well and thats not like me, I live for zelda games usually. When theres a mario kart and a couple of game genres I like released on it I think it will come into its own but for me at the moment, the NES & XBox are getting more play time.

    Zelda and Super Paper Mario are great games, around November Super Mario Galaxy will be out and some time in the near future Super Smash Bros. Brawl. image

    Yeah Wii is pretty great.
    The Virtual Console alone keeps me entertained, what with all the NES, super NES and TG 16 downloads to play. 
    For "real" Wii games, honestly I haven't played one yet that I didn't enjoy.  On top of the games mentioned, RE4 is awesome (yes the controls make it worth buying again) and Carnival Games is proving to be more fun than I expected

    Wii Play is a must for 50 bucks cause you get a Wii mote which normally costs 40 and then you get a fun game for just 10 bucks! Zelda is awesome and I normally don't like Zelda games (minus the first one) all that much. Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware, Rayman, and Mario Party 8 are also all very good. SMB Galaxies and Brawl should also be fantastic! Not to mention that our beloved Nintendo is back on TOP of the gaming world. They recently passed the 360 in sells and it has been out for a year longer!!! Everything is once again right in the world, lol.

    Indeed. I haven't really gotten into them that much, never understood the hype. I have barely played any of the ones on N64 or the Cube. After enjoying Twilight Princess so much I am seriously thinking about back tracking and playing them all start to finish.

    Resident Evil 4 was amazing on the wii... I had more fun with it than Zelda out of all complete honesty. Zelda was an awesome game though as well, and from what Everyone has said Metroid is supposed to be great as well. I have it sitting right here but haven't had the time to open it up yet.

    Nope, the Wii gun isn't even out I think, but if it is it only has 1-2 games for use with it yet. In theory you might be able to use any game with it if you could make the controllers do what you needed.

    I bought my Wii on launch day and have loved it ever since. Yes, Paper Mario was a great game, and I recently got hooked on the Transformers game. I usually don't like the games based on movies, but this one is different. I'm planning to pick up Carnival Games real soon.

    We should have a thread for everyone who owns Wii's to post their codes so other people can add them.

    Carnival Games looks like stupid fun, I can't wait. I have heard the gun could be a back in for 2-3 games looks like, I am pumped for it. The Wii Fit mat looks pretty cool too.

    Just adding my two cents here....I got mine on launch day and enjoy it very much still. I love doing Wii Sports and the fitness challenges you can do every day to check your fitness age on it. I really like Mario Strikers Charged right now as well, especially since it has the online play as well. Super Paper Mario is great too. I want to pick up Carnival Games as it looks fun to play with others and I have MP8 as well for the fun factor.

    I can't really say I have that many games for the Wii, but I always viewed it as quality vs. quantity. I have Zelda:TP, Super Paper Mario, and Wii Play (as well as the obligatory Wii Sports), and they're all great games image .

    Btw...if you were interested, I have a sealed Zelda:TP and a sealed Wii Play (game only; no outer box or Wiimote) up for grabs...

    COming from a huge nintendo junky, best games are Super Paper Mario (its really a revelutionary game, its a big first, the whole 2D to 3D thing, it may not look to interesting but when you play it, whoah its amazing) and of course my man Link wants you to buy zelda TP

    It really is a great console. When they say it's for everyone, they aren't lying. I cannot wait for Geometry Wars. That game is going to be fabulous.
