  • Froggo is familiar to me as an Atari company. It has an NES dongle?
  • yes it does and i found the serial# for it"TS-8008"

i also have one from beeshu.no controlers for either one though so any help would be great

    thanks dustylights...

Adam you just schooled us all. The thing is in the database and no one knew!
  • yeah, I'm sure that's what the froggo thing is for. I actually need that beeshu sensor if you don't want it image
  • havent decided what to do with either one yet, still have about 400 or more items to go thru split between 4 huge plastic bins, you know spagheti from hell hahaha.. dustylights...
  • I collect 3rd party NES accessories, so I'd be on cloud nine if I had 4 huge bins of NES accessories to untangle! Colour me jealous.

Are you an NES collector, James? Or are you planning on selling everything?
  • truth is i dont know yet, most if not all of this stuff i have picked up randomly from all over the past 10 years or so!if you know about 3rd party controlers what know about this one"dynapoint control"#dyjp-0001? just dug this out, still on 1st bin. dustylights...
  • I'll help you with anything you need to know about, no problem.
I've never used a Dynapoint controller, I wasn't able to find out a huge amount about it. But, I found this blurb about it:
"This thing looks great and feels great, kinda like an oversized Genesis 6 button controller, but it has an ODD layout. Of the six buttons, the top two buttons on the left are select and start, and your turbo buttons are to the right of those. It's odd, but if you ignore the turbo buttons, it is pretty decent."

Does that sound like the controller you are talking about?

  • yes thats it,the turbos are yellow and the other 4 are red/blue.and as you said works good,as i am testing stuff out as i go along on my top load nes.

oh hey heres something called a"game star"i think was used to conect nes controls to a pc(?).also would you know the model# for the"explorer 1"(honyu)

    is?

    thanks dustylights...
  • I've seen those Gamestar connectors before. Yes, they do indeed allow you to connect an NES controller to a PC, similar to the RetroUSB ones, except it uses the Keyboard input if I remember correctly.

I saw one of those Explorer-1 joysticks once in my local thrift store, but it was $10 and one of the buttons stuck, so I left it behind. So, yeah, I don't have the model number for it. They're really common though, so it's likely that someone else here owns one.
  • this is a cool thread. kind of exciting what strange thing he'll pull out next.
  • yea thats okay ill keep looking. i am done with the first bin among other things i found pair of black

nes controls(nes-004)"game television"and this one which looks like a cheaply made early style ps1

control with an nes plug on it,and a real surprise

to me was a box with a hand full of nes games i didnt remember having!! 2 of them are boxed(secret scout with manual and crystal mines(black cart).

kinda wonder whats in the other 3 bins yeehaa..

  • Those "Game Television" controllers originally came with a Sharp NES TV, a TV that had an NES built into it. Those controllers are actually in pretty high demand, they are a nice find.

Awesome that you have some NES games in the tubs! I'm with Hightower on this one, this thread is just plain exciting.
  • I had the frogo controller your talking about cib. i sold it i think braveheart has it now.
  • I'm also curious to hear what else you might find in there! image

The Beeshu connector must be from the wireless Ultimate Superstick, which is IMO one of the hardest Beeshu controllers to find (but just the connector is obviously not very valuable). The Dynapoint controller and the GameStar NES-to-PC device actually belong together as they were sold as a set back in the day. The PSX controller with NES connector likely came from a NES clone (or even Famiclone)...many Mastergames clones came packaged with them.
  • Secret Scout is a killer find. Definately on the higher end of game prices (minus the super rares of course).
  • I didn't know Froggo made anything for the NES! They're mostly remembered as a company who made games for the 2600 very late into its life cycle. They were mostly hacks of awful games that nobody played in the first place. That's an interesting find.
  • been gone gold panning last few days on a river very close to canadian border called silkomean, not sure if i got the name right but sounds close.

yeah those froggo games for the 2600 suck badly!

if anybody interested i have a proto of revenge of

    the beefsteak tomatos(2600)to trade for??

now back to somemore controlers i found in my other

    binsimageominator master control(nexoft),beeshu joystick(jazz/zinger/zoomer/viper),bandai super controler(factory sealed),r.o.b(complete?)no box,

u-force(x2)broderbund),and lastly a challenger joystick and 6 epyx controlers thats it also thanks for nobody having a fit cause i dont have pics!

at some point i will for the froggo item and the games i found.

    have a nice day..
