Old Consoles and Computers

I just got a reply to one of my Kijiji Ads for wanting Video Games, and this is what it says:

"I used to collect old consoles and computers. However, I moved and need the space so I'm looking to get rid of them. Since you appear to collect them I thought I'd let you have them for a fair deal (and by fair, I don't mean stupid ebay prices). Some of these are obviously worth more than others. I'm only interested in getting rid of the bundle all together. Fire me an offer.

All worked last time I tried them although it was at least a few years ago.

Complete coleco Adam and 2 extra keyboards. Some books and cartridges

Trs80 coco 2. Controllers and cartridges

Commodore Plus 4. In box, box is about 60%, and IIRC console had some minor cosmetic damage but nothing bad.

Brand new surplus Commodore 16 keyboard (just the keyboard, no case or anything).

Atari 2600, controllers and carts. Woodgrain style

Intellivision and cartridges

TurboGrafx 16 and cartridges

C64 & 1541 DD "

Now, the problem is, I don't even know what some of this stuff is, much less what it's worth. The only thing I would really want is the Turbografx 16, but apparently I'd have to buy everything if I wanted it.

Judging by him letting me have them for less than Ebay value, and the fact that it must all go at once, I may be able to get away with a lowball offer. What kind of a number should I throw at this guy? I'd likely end up selling everything besides the TG16. I know the actual value depends on how many carts there are, but let's just assume he only has a couple common carts for each system.

Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks for the PM Bella,

He put up an ad asking $150 for everything. Since I'm not sure if that's a great deal, I offered him $100.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter?
  • Well, I worked out a deal for $125 for everything. Apparently the Coleco ADAM thing will get me my money back (A boxed one sold for around $300). Here's a pic he sent me (He said this is about half of the stuff) So I am pretty excited for this. Going to pick it up on Wednesday or Thursday.

If anyone wants any of this stuff, drop me a PM and we'll work something out.

EDIT; PLUS- he said he has a Virtual Boy in a Hard Rental Case, and that I can have it for $40. Awesome!!!

  • see if he has any leisure vision/arcadia 2001/ hanimex 2650 stuff PLEASE lol

I did, and he replied back saying that he doesn't know what those are. So I'm going to guess no. Sorry dude!

I'm kind of intrigued, I've heard of leisurevision, what are the other two things you mentioned??

  • Im looking for any Atari 800/XE stuff reasonable. Some of the Commodore disks Might be compatable with the Atari 800. Also might want the intellivision stuff(have no idea why, lol)

When I dig through the Commodore disks, I'll let you know what is there and you can have first pick at the games/software (and I'll give you a good deal on anything you end up wanting.). He said there's a bunch of software and games for everything, but he didn't want to pull everything out of the boxes. Hopefully he has something that will work for you.

I'll also keep you posted on the Intellivision stuff if you do decide you'd like it. I'll have to test it and make sure it works A-OK, but I already have an Intellivision so I definitely won't be keeping it.

  • Adam, some things before you actually hand over the money to this guy

the trs80 istrash and not worth shit.

the coleco adam computer is only powered through the printer. there is no way without modding a power supply to run a coleco adam without a printer. if no printer, then it is not worth it.

other than that sounds like a deal. say you'd give him 150 for all plus the VBoy image
  • well Leisure vision is the only Canadian only console ever made, made in Canada

Don Mill's Ontario to be more specific and also Markham Ontario

close to 40 some odd games for it

VERY unpopular at the time it was released and thats why it only lasted 2 years on the open market. 1982-1984

hanimex not really sure but I think it came out before the leisure vision but I have no proof to back that up

Arcadia 2001 is the american equivelent like famicom and NES however you don't need a special adaptor to play arcadia 2001 games on the leisure vision
  • Qix, thanks for the info. He did say the Coleco Adam was 'complete', but I'll make sure it has a printer. It'd be cool to have a computer that will play Colecovision cartridges... I might keep that one around for a while to play with before I sell it.

i2a2n2, That's interesting. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that kind of stuff for you.
