Sqoon -- the next sleeper rarity
I just thought I'd make a post about that lesser-known title Sqoon. I personally think this game should be worth A LOT more than it typically sells for. I can see this being the next Chubby Cherub, where it starts to fetch upwards of $500, especially if it's in good condition.
So who still needs this one CIB? What do you think it's worth these days?

Yeah, I agree, its a tough one. Never seen a sealed one (that wasn't a reseal) on ebay in five years of looking.
LOL, no doubt -- if I still needed that box, I'd be sending you a PM right now. That's like someone being willing to part with their Chubby Cherub.
Note to Dain: next time tell everyone you feel it should be worth way more AFTER you buy it
Hmmm, I did not realize sqoon had gotten so hard to find. Have at least a double of it. Might have to throw one of my doubles up on ebay soon.
There's other ones too. IMO there are several titles where if the demand went up just a little bit the price would skyrocket.
I don't search CIBs that much, so maybe I'm uninformed but in terms of early games like sqoon/chubby cherub where loose carts are easy but CIBs are hard I would think another two excellent candidates beyond sqoon would be lode runner and spelunker.
Anyone seen those titles lately?
Hey bronty, did you ever sell the sealed double of sqoon you had? I remember you had it and I think hounder was supposed to buy it or something. Would be interested to see what that could pull on the open market.
Still have it. Hounder was always expressing interest in everything, but rarely followed through. I'm kind of glad he didn't buy it anyway. Sqoon has such cool art on the box cover - got to be the same artist as stinger. Not to mention that ever finding any more would be extremely difficult.
I am not saying sqoon is common at all boxed. It is definitely one of the more rare titles and difficult to find in nice shape, but it isn't THAT rare. Nowhere near CC or anything of that nature. I would put it with something like Muscle. Pretty rare to find in nice shape, but you can pick it up with a little effort. Probably a little lower than it should be.
Bronty, I wouldn't mind that sealed dupe [IMG][/IMG] Wouldn't mind opening it either...
I just threw up a little at the thought
And the video will hit YouTube...speaking of which... *runs to YouTube*
Dain made a comment that rings very true. This site has really put certain titles and rarities into the spotlight. There are so few titles "under the radar" now because of this site. People now know what exactly to look for and scour all the lots for. It seems like little, if anything, goes unnoticed these days.
You sure Vintagevgs didn't sell one? I thought he sold one.
I'm glad I already have my CIB copy of Sqoon. There are still a few other "sleeper rares" that I need, I wouldn't dare talk about them until AFTER I own them.

Sqoon is a sleeper for sure. I am VERY curious to see what the next one on the open market brings. I wouldn't sell mine period but I wouldn't be shocked at all if someone bid 300-350 for one in the next year. ~~NGD
that much eh, im happy i got my CIB one for $10
Im sure you explained it before Wiz, but what is your obsession with opening sealed games?
