Genesis Cords

I'm not sure if this topic should go in this sub-forum, so if it doesn't belong here, feel free to move it.

I bought a lot of 6 RF Switches for the Sega Genesis (see image below). They arrived a few days ago, so I tried to test some of them out on my console. They either did not work or they produced an extremely fuzzy image. I then sent the seller an email asking if they were for the Genesis 2, as stated in his auction, or for a PAL genesis. I haven't heard from him since. Anyway, if someone could tell me the correct information, then I would be really thankful.

  • I can tell you every 3rd party RF adapter i've ever used, PSX, Sega, Nintendo, have all SUCKED. None of them have ever given a clean picture. If it's an issue with PAL or NTSC, you wouldn't be getting a real fuzzy image. You would probably get a scrambled image.
  • Agreed....many of them do suck. I have a couple kinds that I don't have any issues with but most blow.
  • correct me if i'm wrong but I always understood it that Mega Drive was a PAL machine only, therefor these RF would be adjusted to work on their TVs only. I do know that you can plug a Megadrive Machine into a NTSC RF and it will work on our TVs just fine. I have never tried using a PAL RF on a our TVs so I don't know what would happen if you do. I guess it might be the results your getting?
