NES hotline book

Used by an ex-Nintendo employee while at Nintendo to answer the phone line questions. I think it is just NES and SNES games. I think there are a few gboy games in there and perhaps an N64 game but nothing newer than that.

Book is pretty thick has some stuff you might have seen elsewhere but def has some stuff that was only created for the guys on the Nintendo hotline. Mostly RPGS it also has solutions for puzzle games and maps for other strategy games. I paid quite a bit of this years ago but don't recall how much. 200-300 perhaps.

  • I know DreamTR sold one last year. I think he got like $400 for it. I'd really like to pick one of these up someday.
  • Man, I placed so many calls to these folks back in the day. Sometimes it was very hard to get through in the first place... just had to keep dialing until you didn't get a busy signal.

I wish I could remember the games I needed to call them about back then. I do remember that the first time I played Startropics I had to call and ask them for the submarine code, because wherever I rented it from didn't have the book.

747? Damn. You mean, like Boeing?
  • I've no idea what it's worth, but that thing is pretty sick. Very cool item.
  • that's cool as hell dude, i love the artwork
  • Friggin shweet! I want one!
  • awesome item. definitely fun to put on a shelf and be proud to own.
  • I love how to show the thickness, you used a tecmo bowl prototype. You didn't have a Mario/duck hunt lying around? image

Well I was trying to sell it and someone asked about it this week so I had it by the computer. The junk carts like Mario I usually keep at the store because people do still ask for them.
  • I think a similar one sold at one of the CGE auctions one year, price was around what you quoted.
  • Crazy item. Every time you create one of these threads I'm pretty amazed.
