Nintendo Power Preview Cart

Just like the title says we found a Nintendo Power Preview kiosk cart. We know there are different versions and have disks that go along with it. This one is a version 3.0.

I really appericiate everyone in chat that helped me figure out what it was!!! I would have never found out otherwise. Here are pics and I would love to know a ballpark on it.  Thanks a bunch in advance for the help!!

There is some label damage and the cart is by no means mint but it is not a Paul cart either image

  • Wow that's a tough one. I think there was a minty one on ebay about 2 years ago that went for $25 but I'm sure it has went up since then. I've always wondered, what does it actually show on the screen when you put it in a system?

And I am very very interested if you end up selling it image
  • Yeah I dunno either but I would guess ALOT more than $25

    Me too image.

I didn't know the back was that bad, but still very cool nonetheless.

  • So where these designed for specific systems? I ask cuz it says it could damage the cart or system if inserted into a system... odd..?
  • I believe it was made just for a NP preview kiosk.
  • Yea this one was never actually hooked up to a real system. It was in the back of the Nintendo Power Previews kiosk that allowed people to pick a video to play. I have no idea what the actual purpose of this cart was. Pics of the kiosk with how the cart hooks up are in nma800's old thread here: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=1891
  • Are there any pictures of the cart board itself around?
  • I take some but i was told not to take it apart. OK what in the samhill do i do?
  • def interested if you decide to sell it. Very cool item.

  • I've no idea what the board looks like...I don't think I took my cart apart...weird!
  • Nice item. Sounds like a biddin' war!
  • Well gentlemen...Looks like an auction is in order. I have had too many people ask for this for me to pick one. Not to mention I have no clue what to ask so look for the auction this afternoon/evening.

If yall want pics of the board for the auction "Ask and ye shall receive."
  • So, does that thing have a hard drive in it? I would imagine that the snes cart is probably too small to house a hard drive circa 1993. How does it plug into a computer? If you can plug it into the computer and see what files are on it? I bet there is some interesting stuff.
