Couple Cleaning Questions...
Alright... I have a Zelda Majora's Mask that sticker residue on the cartridge(not label). I'm just wondering about the gold coating on the cartridge. I'm not sure how that gold coating is applied and would anything that you normally use to take off label residue harm the gold finish on the cartridge?
Also... I have quite a bit of labels that have various crap on them... Sharpie, those ridiculously annoying rentel labels that leave crap behind when you peel them off etc etc... I searched past topics and found a lot about cleaning the contacts including the stove cleaner which I will definitely get.
For glossy labels (and I guess the back warning labels can be thrown into this as well) ... What solutions do you guys best use to get things off the label without degrading the gloss or decoloring it in the future.
I saw something on eBay called "ClassiClean" and so far haven't really seen anything negative on it... Any experiences with it here cleaning NES labels?
My apologies if much of this has been asked before... Saw a few topics on cleaning contacts, but not exactly what I was looking for with glossy labels and whatnot... Cleaning game boxes are a whole different story entirely and maybe I'll screw with that in the future

But for the Sharpie, the best thing I had found is rubbing alcohol rubbed with a standard pencil eraser. Sometimes it's pretty long, but clean sharpie completely and don't affect the plastic.
Thanks for the tips!
It's from the UK. It can be used to clean labels, manuals, boxes, anything really. It's just like Goo Gone, except it is NOT TOXIC. This makes it safe to use on any of those things without leaving behind residue, or light marks.
You can pick it up at any TAPS store locally. About 10$ a bottle. Dunno if it's cheaper online or not.
