Price record on 72pin connector

A 72pin connector goes for US $73 on a Norwegian auction site...WTF

Have people gone mad?

The worst part is that the seller bought the connector from me for only $14.. image

I should have taken more for it image

  • $73?! Hm...*buys 500 NES connectors* *hops the next flight to Oslo*   image .
  • This is not normal, they usually goes for $28 or so.....
  • Even $28 seems high... Stateside, they're at most $10-$12, and even the official ones usually go around $15 or so.

Edit: Wait a sec...doesn't everything over there go for 2-3 times what it'd normally go for here or something...?

    Yes, almost...

Nes with SB/DH and 2 controllers goes for around $130
  • Geez...and I thought the $50-$75 some of the flea market dealers around here ask for the same setup was ridiculous...

    Edit: Hm...I'm now a Meka Chicken...interesting.
  • Yeah, some crazy rich fools in europe willing to share their cash with whoever wants it in most cases.

Thread steal: Gameboy ----> I got a French NES with the RGB output off ebay.fr and it arrived today. The picture quality is good but its not spectacular considering its supposed to be RGB. but its another system for my collection, and a weird one at that.

Cool that you've gotten a RGB NES. image

I didn't notice any big difference between RGB and Composite on my crappy tv neither.

But it's a nice one for the colletion. image
  • Isn't Oslo officially the most expensive city in the world?
    That ought to explain something
  • Haha that is one insane price indeed, but the highest bidder wont pay for it, i'm 99.99% sure of it. If you check the other 72 pin auctions you will see that he bid on 2 of them (3 included the insane high price one).

It depends on what it is. If you want to live there its quite expencive. Alcohol at some bars is also quite expencive, but daily stuff like food etc. cost about the same as any other city in Norway.
  • raising prices on 72-Pins right now...

Yea, I saw that and was thinking the same thing.

The high bidder also have just 1 feedback so he has nothing to lose if he dosen't pay.
  • 10$ shipped for a gold one
  • was there a bid war
  • OMFG, the guy payed for it! O_O Atleast positive feedback has been exchanged. It can be a friend of the seller who tried to push up the price, but i doubt it. If it was, it would stupid to try to push the price even higher when another guy had a bid on like $60.

There were 4 people who made it go that high. The guy who won put a bid several of times, pushing the price up.
