Yeah that was annoying. lol I will be there when they open Sunday. I called the store I pre-ordered at and they said they usually open at 11 on Sunday but they will be opening at 9 for the pre-order.

For anyone who ordered through gamestop here is a list of early openings. Bummer I couldnt get it at midnight, some people have all the luck. Oh well I will need my rest anyway because ill be playing it all day Sunday!

The dump has been available several days. I just refreshed a "scene" site until crack came..that someone found through debugging in dolphin emu ^^ New copy protection, and it's cracked before it hits the shelves... lol
I just got about 2 hours in before going to watch football for the rest of the day. Hopefully will have more time later tonight... but Colts play Pats.
Played Co-op with my girl and got to the first fortress in World 2. Pretty solid game so far, difficulty is almost just right. World 1 was a breeze but she must have died 20 times on that fortress in World 2. Not really that hard for an experienced Mario player, but you know how it can be a pain in the ass doing vertical jumps and keeping both players on screen.
Picked it up at gamestop last night. My friend and I were one of 4 people there, and that location was the only midnight one within half an hour. The Owner said most people had preprdered for today.
The difficulty is alright. It's harder than most of the crap on the wii, but then again I'm only on world 2. I just hope it gets harder. Also, racking up lies is way to easy here. Since I'm a completionist it'll probably take a long time to get every single coin in every level.
I smiled to myself several times at how they incorprated so many minor details from previous games. Those little things are what makes this so great, and there was a significant amount of yoshis island in the game. So far so good, hopefuly I'll get more playing in at night.
Just picked up my copy from GameStop and talked to a cute chick there. Also for the first time I actually found something decent at gamestop. I was looking by the ds games and I saw the game and watch collection, and snagged it for $18, its complete which is nice as well.

You brought something up which was that this was the first time I went into gamestop and saw non-sports titles for less than 4 bucks (gamecube). I was pleasantly surprised, but will be happy when it becomes 1 buck apiece .
A friend of mine and I were tasked with releasing this... We were dressed as Mario and Luigi, and we had a live demo playing from 5 PM on the 14th all the way up to 5 minutes after midnight. Unfortunately, we didn't sell too many copies, only about 5 or so. I did get to play the game (for about 2-3 hours, heh heh...I guess working at Wal-Mart does have its perks )... I was quite impressed with it, to say the least. I'd thought it would be a DS clone for the Wii, but I was proven wrong in the first couple minutes of play... We (me, my friend, one other friend, and several customers over the course of the day) managed to make it as far as World 6 (I found a secret exit out of a stage in World 3...didn't realize it until after I handed off the Wii remote and watched my friend jump into a cannon o_O ). Very fun game, definitely reminiscent of many of the past Mario games rolled into one (especially in terms of music), and surely challenging enough: it'll kick you in the seat of the pants if you aren't ready for it. 10/10 .
I beat it on cam a while ago. It was fun and I accomplished my goal of beating it the first day. Now I get to go back and do it again getting everything I missed. Too bad I dont have many gamer friends I want to get in on the multiplayer.
