Super Mario Bros. Wii . It'll be coming out tomorrow (tonight at midnight, or tomorrow around 9 depending on your gamestop). I would just wait for that, I'm sure it'll be keeping you busy for awhile anyways.
Yeah New SMB Wii is going to be epic. My fav game so far on the Wii is easily Super Mario Galaxy. I just love everything about that game. The other games I play are party games, both of the Boom Blox titles, Mario Party 8, Monopoly... If you want to try a Wii Ware game World of Goo is pretty good.
I've been getting back into Twilight Princess. It's a really well-made game, and a lot of fun. Metroid Prime Trilogy is awesome (all three Primes on one disc with Wii control).
I'm a big fan of the Rayman: Raving Rabbids series. I've wasted countless hours playing the rail shooters on those games with my Girlfriend... chicks dig shooting Rabbids with toilet plungers! Plus, you can get the first two games for pretty cheap.
The story mode on the first one has a lot of charm, but the rail shooter on the 2nd is by far my favorite. I didn't like RR TV Party as much.
^Agreed on Super Paper Mario, what an awesome game. However, I'd say Zak and Wiki is definitely a rental title. It was fun the first time through, but I doubt I'll ever play it again. I bought it when Blockbuster had it marked for $5, but I'm glad I didn't pay any more for it than that.
If you're going to have your Wii connected to the internet, Call Of Duty: World at War online deathmatch is pretty awesome!
ExciteBot Trick racing is almost just like ExciteTruck, except they changed the trucks into robto insects and added some cool tricks to earn stars. They also added online play, which makes it great, I like it.
The lego games are pretty good if you like that sort of thing, and now under $20 (Batman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars)
And there you have it. All of the Wii games worth playing. Seriously. There is nothing I have to add. Other then the Homebrew channel, highly recommended.

Twilight Princess (if you missed it on Cube)
Mario Galaxy
Tiger Woods '10 (I've never liked golf games, but with motion plus this is as close to actual golf as it gets)

and Wario Wares
Wario Land Shake It
De Blob
And on Wii Ware - Swords And Soldiers, absolute must DL at $10 and will either keep you busy for a week or a month depending if you want to 100% it.
Wii fit, especially if you're fat.
Wii Fit Plus if you are really fat

As for Wii games, the Conduit has great online play, and you should also check out Tenchu: Shadow Assassins and Okami.
At least its a longer list then good PS3 games
