I'm trying to get one together..  Check out the thread here..

    http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=8&threadid=26384

It's a slow process, but I hope to get at least the basics in.
  • Here's a thought... Have the page navigation at both the top AND bottom.
  • Output a PDF or TXT list of what you have for a certain system and what you don't have?

PSP homebrew app version? (This would help me out so much.)

    Screw variations?
  • Can't you export as it is?
  • Forgive me if this has been asked and I missed it...

Is condition 10 mint colored green because, well, you know, real mint is green?

*Never mind I found it!  Man there are so many features it's easy to get lost.

Yeah, I was looking and found this also. One problem though, everything just shows "?". I thought it might have to take some time to update, but that was last night. Is there something I missed?
  • I made a thread about this about a week ago - an offline option. Somehow, if possible, that you don't need to be on NA or even the internet to use it.
  • Harrison, by 'use it' do you want to be able to update your lists as well as look at them, or does the export to pdf, excel, text etc features suffice?
  • No No sorry - I mean like, in order for me to input data into the collection too I a) have to be on the internet and b) be on NA.

This isn't a problem now, but two weeks ago I didn't have internet and it would have been nice to use my spare time inputting data. I get that you can bulk upload using a text document. But it would have been nice to have an offline version of the collection tool to use.

I guess more like a piece of software almost. Probably too much to ask - but future endeavors?
  • ^I would agree with this^
  • With the offline feature, that is..
  • Just a quick note that I'll be starting work again on the c-tool in the coming days. I just needed a long break to work on some other things and enjoy the holidays.

Well it seems that you only get the rarity ratings when you search the database and put the game into your que. If you use the bulk uploaded, it doesn't get the rarity rating, or other info.

Is that a bug, or does it not search the database for the game info when you bulk upload?

see picture - one Bases Loaded was added though the bulk loader, the other was done by hand by searching the database.

  • ^the bulk loader is an arbitrary data loader, with no effort to "figure out" what's being loaded. Think of it as a "quick and dirty" list, the emphasis being on "dirty."

Probably planned, but the ability to browse others trade and selling lists from their profile page, or a searchable tool. Say I wanna find Super mario Bros. just type that into a search and it returns the list of people who have that as a trade or sell item.

I was wondering about this as well. More specifically, for a search tool. a la eGay.
  • So I have a suggestion for the collection tool! Could you make the it so that the color legend for the grades scrolls with the page when in public view, or possibly have a little description box pop-up on rollover of a grade? Sometimes when looking through even my own list, I have to do a lot of scrolling up and down to figure out what I rated something at, and differentiating between the shades is occasionally difficult when you don't have it right there to look at.

    This would be cool!
  • with all the different PAL A & B regions, i was wondering if your could have a feature like the "available/missing" features but for the individual regions? having created a list for all PAL A regions in 1 i was hoping i can click on, for example, -ITA and it will show all my -ITA games from my main list.

i know i can make seperate region lists which i have also done but it would just mean the user can create one big PAL A/B or both list and then with a click sift through individual regions.

edit- and also, if each row could highlight horizontally as you scroll over so you know youre editing/deleting the correct game?
  • Not sure if this is a feature request or a bug, but the "public view" for a collection does not support showing the "Code" for the items in the collection. I'd like it if it did.

There is a column header for it in the public view, but all the codes are blank.

Probably the only reason the code would matter is when trying to track variants.

  • I didn't see it in the first post, but the ability to view a different members collection and compare it to your own. For those of us who want to compare sizes. Would also give the option to trade besides buy/sell/trade. I go to a users Trade collection compare to my main collection or if possible more detailed like my wanted section. Would be easy to compare and see what I could try to obtain. If you even went so far as to add a conditions check box so that it only shows what they have that I don't, or what I have that they don't. Yea pretty much sounds like i'm practically asking for the create a trade option like gametz or cag marketplace have. Could even at that point click a create a transaction checkbox, where a transaction can be created that would could be accepted, rejected, or appended.

I'm not so lazy that I'm opposed to the current way, I make do, but it might be something to consider in the future.

Or does the collection tool already allow you to search for an item, and see who has it in what collection?
  • Either a bug or a feature request.

For newer systems I track and expand my collection as additional titles are released for it. In this case, the Wii.

When I attempt to "Expand Collection" for my Wii collection, and then "Only show missing games" so that I can get a list of wii games that have been released, it includes Wiiware titles.

It would be nice to either exclude Wiiware altogether from the search criteria for Wii, or have an ability for me to mass exclude them.

    Thanks,

    Al
  • I would like the ability to add an "other" (or better yet, custom named) checkbox to the cart, manual and box checkboxes. In my case I would like to track overlays, but I assume it would be useful for other stuff.
  • Not really important it would also be nice to exclude the games that you set as "didn't come with a box" from the total boxes tracked items stat.
  • I was trying to add a picture to my collection, and found that I can only upload a new photo. Is there a way to use pictures I already have uploaded on my NA album? Or can that be added?
