i need one and i am a moron, so easy to install would be helpful

No-install:

They used to have an in-page utility but after eBay's new layout it doesn't work AFAIK.
Otherwise, it's free and pretty reliable. Although when something really important is up for bids, I'm always there in person.

You can get a free trial of esnipe (esnipe.com). It's freaking awesome... been using it for years.

They still have a utility for firefox. you have to install grease monkey, but it works. I used it last month.
