  • Well if you don't have many games, the cheapest way to get going is to buy big lots on eBay. The rule of thumb is that if they are common games, don't pay more than $2 per cart. Don't get sidetracked trying to find rare games right off the bat because you're collecting will never grow.

There you can find NGD's game list. The first section is all of the US released games. It will give you an idea on what games are rare. Don't follow the prices to a T because they change so often....but its a still an amazing list.
  • Incase you missed it.  Here is the link to the topic with tip for collecting.

If you are going for a complete collection, remember the games take up alot of space!  Buying large lots is a great way to get a good start.  I've probably got about 900-1000 nes games laying around now.  Yikes!!!!  You will end up with alot of duplicates you can sell or trade.

The Turbo Grafx is a great system too.  Don't forget about the Pc Engine, which is the japanese counterpart.  Way too many great games never made it to the US.  Visit www.pcenginefx.com for info and great forums for the TG16 and PCE.
  • Well ill give you guys an idea of what I have.

  • Keep an eye out for people selling games on this site too. Many transactions here. Check feeback thread, very few negs
  • I've got quite a few commons I can part with for $2 each (shipping extra)...PM me for info, and I'll get you a list. I also have a small handful of scarcer games, including Bomberman II and Tengen Tetris, if you'd be interested in those also.
  • I thought Erik made a great point in the first newsletter about collecting.  Figure out exactly what you want out of your collection.  Then break that down into different groups such as black box games, Disney games, games that are part of a series, etc.  When you do this it gives you a more narrow field to search.  So I would recommend figuring out what you want, and then picking a smaller group of what you want to go after to start.
