Hello everybody

Hello all! I found this forum after seeing the recent CIB SE auction.

Here's my story. I started rebuilding my NES collection around 4 years ago to play them all again and beat some that were impossible back in the day. It started simple, a few carts here and there, then the more titles I remembered, the more I bid on. I really wanted an original Top Loader, and lost a few auctions...eventually I scored one. Luckily for me, all the games I wanted were still reasonably priced, the top loader is the most expensive NES item that I have bought (or should I say rebought). There isn't anything fancy about my collection, I have roughly 60 open carts that I enjoy playing to this day.

I noticed that some carts were selling for big bucks, so I started regularly browsing high-dollar auctions, which led me to the SE auction and then here.

Here's a fun fact, I didn't beat The Adventure of Link until I was 31. Aside from successfully casting "mute" on Chaos in the original NES final fantasy, that was the most rewarding accomplishment of my video game career.

My favorite NES games are, in no particular order: Kid Icarus, River City Ransom, Maniac Mansion, Blaster Master, and Castlevania. My least favorite, Ghosts and Goblins, is without a doubt the most impossible game that I have ever painstakingly tried to beat.

I also collect games on other platforms, I won't go into too much detail but my Castlevania: Dracula X, black label FF7, and MIB Castlevania Chronicles are my favorites because they were so hard to find.

Well, sorry for the novel, thanks for viewing!
