new, not a collector...
Hey guys, new around here. Found out about this place by way of jayrod2's custom NESes on YouTube (at least that's his name on YouTube). I started to custom paint my own NESes lately, and started doing research on the subject and found his amazing work. I plan on doing somewhat the same thing only more...theme oriented i suppose ( i think that's the phrase I'm looking for).
anyway, yeah, like i said, i'm not so much a collector as I am someone who just loves classic nes games (or games that are classic in spirit). Was psyched to find out there was a community like this one. I'm not really surprised to discover there is one, i just never took the initiative to go out and look for it. but here i am! i plan on being as active here as my schedule allows. glad to be here
oh, and i pointed out that i wasn't a collector, because that is a whole aspect of nintendo/video game fandom that i am really curious about, as...well...i'm slighlty (i mean that literally...only SLIGHTly) confused by it. not against it. just looking for some clarification....but i'll get into that discussion in the apporpriate forum
Forewarning: I tend to have a very strong opinion about video games and the like, but it is never meant to be taken personally. i think i'm in the clear though because most of my bias leans in the same direction as most here anyway, i would imagine.
this may be the longest post i've ever made on any forum ever in my life. im not much of an internet talker. i think i've found my niche.

I'm curious to know what you are confused about. You can't play a bottlecap collection, but we can play ours as well as admire it. Enjoy your stay dude.
That's actually the exact aspect that is beyond me. The collection of sealed games, games you CAN'T play. But like I said, I'll get into that elsewhere.
