new member posting some finds before becoming a member

I am a new member here and have found some good games within the last few months that I would like to share.  Some were found by my brother who collects as well and hooked me up.  I hope noone cares that I am listing some finds that are around 3 months old to very recent but everytime I find something it is exciting but have never had anyone to share it with since all my friends can careless about this stuff and thinks game collecting is weird. Anyway, I went to California for a wedding and found a cd store in a college town and they had thousands of video games.  I bought Power Blade 2 with manual for $20, Kid Klown with manual for $10 and Chubby Cherub with manual for $15.  I also found around 20 complete in box Original Gameboy games near where I live and there were some I had always wanted, The Real Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2, and Donkey Kong(first release).  Sumo Fighter is factory sealed and Mega Man 5 is game only.  I paid $3 to $10 for each of the gameboy games.  I found Swatkats factory sealed during a quick stop to Nashville.  I paid $20 for it and it is flawless.  Oh yeah, my dad recently found me Maxi 15 Complete at a flea market for $35, which is a pretty good deal and just a neat find.  Anyway, as far as the other games I found the prices are as follows:

Nes-Swamp Thing. Motor City Patrol, Metal Storm, (2) Mighty Final Fights, James Bond Jr, GI Joe, Stack Up, Alfred Chicken, Uninvited, (2) Power Blade 2 & Miracle Piano for $3 each.  Wacky Races and Pro Am II were $5 each, Tecmo Cup Soccer was $1 and Mega Man 5 was $10.

Snes-Dracula X-$20, Mega Man X2-$10, Evo-$5, Fun N Games-$1, Oscar-$1, Final Fight 3-$5, Super Punch Out Mint and CIB-$10, Captain Commando-$5, Aerobiz Super Sonic-$7, Final Fantasy II-$4, Adventures of Batman & Robin with mint box-$15, Fievel Goes West-$2, Super Adventure Island II-$5, Beauty & the Beast-$3 & Captain Commando box only-$1

Sega-Streets of Rage 3 mint and CIB-$10 & Joshua-$3

  • I couldn't get 2 pictures to load for some reason.
  • Wow, you've got some insane finds there! And I couldn't find GB Games in the wild if my life depended on it, and boxed on top of it! Congrats and welcome image
  • Hot dang! When is the last time anyone has seen two PB2 together? First for me.
  • Oh yeah, I have to tell you all this. I bought Little Samson with manual off Ebay for $80. Then 2 days later I find it for $1. I couldn't believe it but that's how it goes sometimes. I thought about selling it to get my money back on the one I paid $80 for but some finds are just nice to keep.

  • I just stop at every store I see that I think may have something. Even when I am traveling if I have time I will pull off an exit if I see a pawn shop or a junk store. It drives friends and family crazy. In California, it was a big cd store that I went into and they just happened to have all kinds of games. There were some good ones but college students now days are looking for stuff they grew up on like N64 and PS1, so I guess that is why I was able to find the Power Blade 2, Kid Klown, and Chubby Cherub with manuals. There N64 and PS1 stuff wasn't too good. I bet they had 500 old nintendo games and lots of them had manuals. Lots of Snes games as well but hardly and Sega Genesis, which I thought was weird.
  • Congrats on the $1 Samson. Where'd you find that one at?
  • Ahhh, it's hauls like this that make me feel inadequate. :-D

I'm especially jealous of SWAT KATS sealed, as that's one of the "hard to find" ones that I still need. Oh, and I do the same thing as you, just making stops whenever I can to do some hunting. My fiancee will only tolerate so much, however. Plus, there are probably some places that I pass up just because of lack of luck there in the past. I'm slowly starting to learn that anything goes is the best policy when it comes to choosing a hunting ground. Hehe.
  • Got it off someone selling some games. There was nothing good until I saw this in the middle of the stack.
  • So many rare games! That's one of the best finds I've seen in a long time.
  • mydogsrule, now there is a name from the ebay of old. i remember cursing at (and winning) a few auctions back in the days image  Personally I wouldnt consider you a new member, more like one of us old hats that found our way back to the coat rack, good to see you around!
