So recently I made a new friend on Craigslist - he is actually a new member here but I'm not sure if he wants me to recognize him in my finds thread. Anyway, I've been trading him lots of loose carts and stuff to fill his collection, and in return he has been hooking me up with some unique and awesome store merch/gaming randomness.
I actually picked up a huge lot of items from him a couple of weeks ago which I have not posted here, but will eventually when I get a chance to put everything together for a few big pics. Yesterday I picked up a much smaller lot that included some really neat stuff. Here it is:
List: Generation NEX NES/Famicom clone in retail box Game Cube Interactive Demo Disc #33 in case (store demo) DS Stylus/Game Case/Screen Protector set factory sealed 2x Mario Galaxy Pre-Order Commemorative Coins A bunch of Case/Manual only for DS games Final Fantasy VI GBA Box/Manual Call of Duty 4 Limited Edition XBox 360 (minus game disc) Assassin's Creed Collector's Edition Tin w/figurine (no discs) Lost Planet Collectors Edition (no game disc) Ace Attorney Keychain thing Mass Effect Pre-Order bonus pack Destroy All Humans Bobblehead Wario: Master of Disguise Standee
and the big one:
3 Boxes of Pokemon HeartGold (Ho-Oh) and SoulSilver (Lugia) pre-order promo figurines (all factory sealed), 29 figurines total
Like I said, I will be posting pics and a list of a much bigger haul from the same person from a few weeks ago. Lots of neat stuff coming up in this thread.
Got a decent little find today, not really pic-worthy, but here is what I got for $40 and a 30 minute drive:
2 Super Nintendo systems (both in quite excellent condition, not yellow or chipped or anything) 2 controllers 10 games: Kirby Super Star Demon's Crest Super Mario World Mortal Kombat II Stunt Race FX Sim City Madden 94 Super Caesar's Palace Wheel of Fortune Deluxe Donkey Kong Country
I stopped at a pawn shop on the way home that only had a few games and some very silly prices. They had Mario / Duck Hunt for $15, but I picked up a Star Fox (SNES) and San Francisco Rush 2049 (N64) for $1.50 each...go figure. I should bring in thirty or forty Mario / Duck Hunt carts and trade them in
My money is made back from Demon's Crest and Kirby alone, so I am quite happy with this find
I went to a garage sale on Craigslist that advertised old games this morning, ended up with a pretty good little package for $40 (negotiated down from $60):
CIB Mario 3 variant (good)
CIB Mario 2 (good)
Midway Arcade Treasures (XBox)
Capcom Classics Collection (Xbox)
6 NES games (Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Lolo, Bart vs. the World, Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle), all very nice condition
A beautiful red Game Boy (near mint condition, great screen) with 6 games (Donkey Kong Land, Kirby's Dream Land, Super Mario Bros. 2, Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, George Foreman K.O., World Cup) and 4 plastic cases
Game Boy fanny pack-style case and battery pack
I pulled up to this garage sale 7 minutes before 8AM, and 4 other cars pulled up literally 5 seconds after I had gotten out of the car. Right as I was gathering my purchases together, a guy was standing next to me going through stuff and making an offer on the leftovers
The awesome part: I took an unusual route home on a complete whim, and stopped at a garage sale that had apparently been ongoing for several days. Epic results. Will post later when I get a chance for pics.
