Trip to Astoria

Went to the beach this weekend with my wife.  Spent most of Sat. checking out thrift and antique stores, found Crystalis w/ Manual, Seicross, Mega Man 4, Super Team Games and Gold Medal Challenge 92 CIB at a parn shop in Lincoln City for $32.  Not great, but not bad.  This morning we drove up to Astoria and checked out a store that a woman running an antique store had suggested.  Mallternative.  They had a couple of shelves of NES games and I started going through them.  Quickly saw Dragon Warrior 2, Nobunaga's Ambition 2, Princess Tomato, Pirates and Gun Nac.  A few of them had prices from 10-20 and a few didn't have any price.  Also, a smb/dh and $12! on it, weird.  Anyhow, I ask the guy what the games without price tags go for and he said, "1-2 bucks mostly, the stickers on those are pretty old.  The only games worth much more then that are zelda and mario."  Sooooo, I do some quick counting and tell him I'll give him $100 for all of them.  He asks another guy in the shop, and they talk for a minute and decide they need the money and they'll do it.  Ended up getting 105 games for $100!  Hell ya!  Only needed 18 for my collection, but a lot of good trade bait in there as well.  Added it all up and the price guide says they are worth $527, hot damn!

  • I was actually very disappointed when I was last there. Of course the rock is there but other than that NADA. Yes the house that Mickey lived in is there in a different town from where the rock is but other than that. image When I went out to where the restaurant and all that was there isn't anything, it was all a set and now it's just a grassy picnic area.
