How do I know if someone won a Buy It Now listing?

When I am watching items in My eBay, it displays the # of bids next to the item title for open auctions, but next to Buy It Now auctions it just shows a dashed line.

And when an open auction ends, it shows the amount the item SOLD FOR, but I don't see this info with Buy It Now listings. Am I missing something here?

How can I actually tell if a Buy It Now listing that ended actually had someone buy that item or not?

Thanks for your help!

  • Are you the seller, or are you just watching?

If someone bought the auction, it should show as sold and over.

  • No, just listings that I am watching. For example, the one below ended before its scheduled ending time, but I don't know if someone actually bought it or if the seller just ended his auction early.

  • click on the bid history, if a BIN was used, it will say so.

Can you look at the link I posted above please? I don't see a bid history link for it. Thanks!
  • Hi,

This is what I do when I want to check that. I am not sure if it is 100% reliable but most of the times it gives me answers and it will to you this time.

Just click on the auction that has ended and then on the right box click "see other items". Once there just do an "advanced search" of the eBay member (not the top one). When you you are in the advance search, the name of the seller will be automatically filled and you have to check the "Show completed listings only" and press the search button. You'll find there all the items that have ended from that buyer. If the price is in green, it means it was sold. If it is in red it means nobody bought it or the seller ended earlier.

I can see that the game you were looking at is in red and since you said there was still time left i can only assume the seller ended it earlier.

    Good luck!

Sorry. I was thinking of your own personal auctions.
