  • not bad, our game stores dont sell anything older then wii
  • I presume you mean Cabal, which is a damn good 2-player game. Metal Gear is meh, I would've waited for a cheaper copy unless it's CIB. And a lot of game stores price NES games low because they don't sell well. Popular games go higher than they should, but unpopular (and sometimes rare) games go dirt cheap.

EDIT: I mean to say the gameplay is meh...the price isn't too bad, I just personally wouldn't pay that much for it (of course, I have 3 copies so that may have something to do with it image ).

  • mine sells genesis nes wii ps3 xbox and 360 game cube ps2 and more
  • Decent buy. It's a pretty good start
  • Print out a copy of the price guide and keep it in your car. I print out other peoples' guides and buylists for systems I'm not familiar with. Go into the store, scope out things you think you want, and leave. Then consult in the car. If it's worth going back in, they'll be waiting for you there image
  • nice idea
  • Yup, and eventually you'll start memorizing what game is worth what price and you're set. And if most of the games are sold for $2-3, you won't be overpaying for anything image
  • there good for collection starting too
  • That's what I mean. You'll likely get a few good buys, and $2-3 filler games aren't bad either. Who knows, if you go in with a hundred bucks one day, you might be able to get them cheaper in bulk. Never hurts to try anyway image
  • yup i never thought about that
  • Don't try to haggle at that price unless you are buying more than a couple games. If you want to buy 30 games, they'll be more likely to negotiate the price than if you are only buying 3.
  • thats true

  • Definitely. I had a buddy that tried to haggle on every $3 item he found, and he had so many sellers that refused to ever cut him a deal. The same people would cut me deals because I didn't annoy them trying to save 50 cents. Another thing I noticed is that if they have something highly under value, and other things moderately over value, it can still work in your favour to pick some of them up. Found a Little Samson cart for $40, so I snagged a few $5 games that were tagged at $10, then talked the owner down to $75. Utilized what I saved over the market value to get 5 more games I didn't own yet that I would've passed on due to the price, and ended up getting them for less than market value overall. Haggling is an art, just gotta figure out the real tricks to it.
  • What color is the Bible Adventures?
  • Holy damn, I didn't notice the OP got edited. Austin, the colour won't make much price difference, but a black cart is typically worth more than a blue one. If it's a black cart, find out the version number of the game (it's on the title screen when you fire it up). Depending on the version, it may turn it from an average price to a damn good one.
  • the carts blue
  • Blue is the more common version... but that's okay, still some good finds. $2 per game is a pretty good price for commons. I wish I could find any NES cart for $2 around these parts.

    Nice work, buddy!

Yeah, cheapest I've seen in Alberta is $5/game, and $10/game seems to be average for common stuff.
  • Which version of Bible adventures is the most uncommon? I have a black cart one.
  • With the black cart, there's multiple versions. Check the title screen and see what the version number is. I think a few people collect different version variants, but they're really tough to track them all down. Think there's versions up to 6.0 for Bible Adventures. What I'd like to know is if the version number refers to changes in the ROM itself, or if it's simply an update to their lockout bypass...
  • I believe the rarest version is the black cart with no version number at the title screen.

Wiz: Yeah, commons are $10 each at the local store. I think they dropped some of the dead commons to $7.00, still a ripoff.
  • Depends on the game though. I'd pay $10 for something like Vice: Project Doom or Low G Man, because they'd be ones you'd get your value for in play time. Just depends on the title in that case.
  • Damn - version 1.4 BA. Oh well. And Noah sure runs fast for an old guy!

That's nothing.  He can carry a pair of cows on his head while running like that!  I swear, I played that for an hour just because it was so damn funny XD
  • Haha, yeah, it's great for the laugh factor. Except for the pigs. Granted, I only played it for about 5 minutes, but the stupid pigs keep getting away. I think I need to go watch the AVGN video again lol
  • loli like david and golith am playin it noe lol
  • I personally liked Noah's Ark the best of the three. The one with Baby Moses is the worst of the bunch, and is the only reason I don't think anyone bothers with the game. Considering they're just hacks of other releases, and rush jobs at that, I think the game turned out halfway decent, with only one turd out of the three games image
  • im were i just got the sling shot and its hard i think its level 5 can someone look up how many lvls david and glioth has(im to lazy) lol
  • Austin, I have sent you a PM. Making this public because some have already had issues with you not following through. If you aren't interested, just say so. But let me know.
