I have a quick Virtual boy question.

Does anyone have like a vb display? Where you have all your vb stuff in one erea or something? I dont exactly want all the stuff on  my shelves boxed up. My girlfriend plays it often, and I kinda like to show that system off when friends come over and let them play it. I also play it form time to time. I know I would play it more if I didnt have to get it out and set it up everytime to play it. Does anyone have any ideas how I can leave a system out to play. like on a desk and have something where the games can go neately and look nice? has anyone had a set u like this for a vb? I just want to get some ideas goin. I am moving into a new apartment next month and want to have some ideas by then.  I have a couple posters and a small plastic sign that would look kinda cool with an idea like this I think. I hope this makes sence to everyone haha.

  • I think I get what you're asking for... The very first thing you have to do is assign a specific area in your house where you want your stuff to be displayed... Fortunately, a vb collection shouldn't be as massive as a NES one, for example. Once you have that, you need to think if you want it permanently displayed, or just merely accessible. Maybe you can get a carpenter to build you a special piece of furniture, with shelves for your games, and make it be the right height for most confortable use. Said furniture can be painted with a virtual reality retro-futuristic theme (you know, like "outdated" views of the future, kind of like the Jetsons). After all, the virtual boy is a retro device of a concept that we still don't have in 2010 (commercially speaking).

  • If you collect CIB, I use a CD tower. I have a nice sturdy wooden one with a good lazy susan on the bottom (cheap plastic ones are rickety) and the CD shelves don't have the slots so wider boxes will fit in. If you're loose, I suppose you can still put them on there with some additional consideration like a small rubbermaid container to keep them from slipping out.

Anyway my game actually sets on top and I just move the whole thing up to the couch or table when I want to play it.
