Anyone know what kind of Arcade cab this is?

I got this cab for free and its missing some parts. I would like to know what kind of cab it is and what game it was originally. Also, if someone can link me to a picture of this cab I would like to see what the control panel looks like. The control panel assembly slides completely out. If anyone knows where I can buy a new CP and assembly I would be interested because this one has water damage. The guy I got it from thinks it was a Lethal enforcers cab last. It is set up for JAMMA and has a 25" monitor The monitor works great! Thanks all.

  • looks like a gutted Neo Geo cab.
  • same to me.
  • Those had slide out CP's? Also, this cab is not accessible from the back. There are no entryways or service doors on the back. My guess was its one of those Dynamo cabs. Anyway to I.D. it?
  • it looks like a neo geo cab but the bottom of the back doesnt look right.

It's a Dynamo alright.  You can tell due to the distinct shape of the cab.  Dynamo's were the go to conversion cab back in the day, and many enthusiast swear by them.  Nice pick-up for free, and a great candidate for a MAME cab.
  • Here's a work log on a Dynamo MAME project:

Note: this is how NOT to make a MAME cab. My God that's a big POS...
  • Definitely a Dynamo, although it's neat how my Dynamo actually houses a Neo Geo MVS, and people said it looked like a gutted Neo image Are you looking to do MAME with it, or are you going to buy a board, marquee, and everything else you need to make a conversion cab of something?
  • ^^^ What is it with people putting trackballs on these cabinets and trying to squeeze every possible button combination into the CP?
  • I got this cab to MAME it. So far, everyone has said this is the perfect candidate to MAME and I wont be destroying a classic. The slide out CP is a big plus. Thanks everyone.

    You're telling me dude!

I'm going to set-up MAME on my Egret 2 in the next few days, but I'm going to do it right.  No CP modifications, and the MAME unit will be removable so I can switch right back to PCBs if I want.

I plan on putting together a user friendly tutorial in the brewery when it's all said and done.

That sounds like the right way to do it.

Other than cheaping out to use a regular monitor, there is no good reason to not get one of those JAMMA compatible boards for the PC.  You get arcade video out, you get JAMMA harness to keyboard support.
