  • The 5-screw is the more common variant for Gyromite. That box looks like it's in great condition! Nice find!
  • Well if you have fun with them, they're worth it. These are among my least favorite games for the NES though so good luck image Generally pretty common games though. I think these wound up all being "bargain bin" games toward the end of the run.
  • Open the Gyromite up and see if it's got a 60-pin to 72-pin converter in it. They tend to go for a bit more. The box is nothing special, as it was the Deluxe Set pack-in (Gyromite and Duck Hunt came boxed in the Deluxe Set...Nintendo didn't get cheap until the Action Set image ). Less than $5 each for CIBs is always a good score though.
  • Wow nice find, is there a flea market in south east Kentucky?
  • nope it didnt, but i didnt even know of such a thing thanks alot for the tip, but somethin i did notice about it is how i didnt have to use my *security* bit to get the screws out they were just straight way screws.

they are some flea markets around here, i get lucky from time to time. at the flea markets they sell alot ALOT of carts but i dont buy mine like that either its CIB or just missing the manual. lol the story with me is...

back when i was a kid i collected NES loose carts, manuals, at one time from the age 13-17..i got my car when i was 16..and like any teen growing up in the late 90's-mid 2000s i got into car stereo so i sold my WHOLE collection on ebay it was everything i ever accumulated over them years.. i used that money (500 dollars) to buy my car stereo amp for my subs. in 2007 my car got broken into and everything got stripped out.

yeah it was back when fast and the furious was in... LOL

but then after i got everything stolen from me.. it was like my nintendo stuff got stolen to, cause.. i used the money that i made from the carts/manuals/ pretty much everything i could get my hands on at the time..to go toward that car stereo, and for some reason here the past couple years have had a love to pick up collecting again...and to never stop this time, this IS and should HAVE STAYED my passion the only difference between me then and now is that i ONLY collect CIB haha
  • Man, that Gyromite box is in awesome shape!
  • Security screws weren't used until the 3-screw carts came out. Makes opening 5-screw carts easy image

I wholly disagree. As someone who has cleaned a lot of games and opened every one, I always groan when I come to a 5-screw. Once you've got a security bit and a decent nutdriver with a good heavy handle, 3-screw carts are a cinch to open and close, even when they're tight.

5-screw games are more work, and even if you have the "nice" eyeglass screwdrivers with larger molded handes, it's always a pain to work them all out.
