Needing help with USPS insurance claim...

Long story short, I traded my NES Test Station setup for a stack of PS1 and PS2 RPGs (a couple others mixed in).  I sent it Priority Mail, with delivery confirmation and insured for $800.  The other trader received it, but it had been severely damaged in transit (he hasn't sent me pics, but from his description, it's *very* badly damaged).  Basically, what I'm needing is some sort of proof of value...I'm not coming up with any recently-ended eBay listings immediately or anything of that sort...  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I know otto keeps a list of what most Service Center items end for on Ebey, he might be able to help you out there. That sucks about the test station. image
  • Nothing for three months on my end. Hopefully he saved the HTML for a closed listing he can print out.
  • I don't know if it will help, but I have old auctions in PDF format...send me your e-mail address and I can e-mail them to you tomorrow. I haven't seen any off of ebay lately that have actually sold.
  • Good luck filing a insurance claim, USPS is a PAIN with insurance stuff, esp expensive stuff.
