Great deals at Goodwill tonight!

I walked into the local Goodwill tonight, and saw no games.  However, I started talking to some guy who worked there about how I collected games, and he said there were 2 SNES games in the back.  He went and got them, and they were:

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario All-Stars

$2 apiece.  I said "Sold!", paid for them, and left.  Not bad for $4!    image

    hes very fragile lol
  • Hahaha... no, you know what I mean... I can sell those games for about $25 combined, and $20 profit is never bad. I just couldn't believe that the only 2 games they had were those 2.
  • Nice find, I'll take Yoshi's Island off your hands.
  • You always have to ask the people who work there, because they often keep the games and stuff behind the desk or somewhere else to prevent theft.

I asked a lady at Goodwill one time and she pulled out a decent amount of games. I bought their SNES carts which happened to be minty carts of Super Mario World, Mario All-Stars, Qbert 3, and Pacman 2 for $8 total.

Lesson learned: Always ask the workers before you just leave empty handed.

Actually these have both been selling steadily for 18 to 20 a pop I sold one of each last week for those prices
  • All stars is usually a guaranteed $20 BIN for me. Yoshi's Island not so much but they're still cash in the pocket when you can buy them at $2 apiece!
