My Best Find In Quite Some Time

So yesterday my wife says sends me a link to a Facebook post. Some local girl is selling a lot of SNES Games for $150. I can't pick out many titles in her pic, but there looks to be around 70 games and two systems. I normally figure any lots with games at $2.00 is worthwhile for resale, assuming it's not all crap sports titles. I also see she has a 40 NES lot and two systems for $100.

The SNES looks more interesting to me, but I figure if they pan out and I can haggle her to $200 I'll have a nice score.

I call her up and ask to drop by. A couple hours later I'm digging through the SNES box and it's decent. There's two other large boxes as well besides the NES. One appears to be N64, the other Sega Gen / MS.

For a variety of reasons I'm in a super rush at this point. I ask what she wants for it all. I can see them both get excited. Her son says $350, she says $300. I say $250, they say yes.

I'm so rushed in fact, I realize I'm possibly screwing myself. I don't even look through the three other boxes before I offer.

Now here's where it gets awesome. She goes and gets a stack of N64 carts, then a boat load of Game Boy stuff. Apparently she assumed I offered on this as well, when truthfully, I had missed her ads about them.

Anyways, here's what I walked off with (plus two massive boxes of cords and cables).

  • Impressive... all I find locally are people selling a console and a few games for about $200.
  • nice score dude!
  • Dude, you need to list the shit out of that!
  • I see some decent titles as in tyson punch out, mega man 5, r-type iii, doney kong country...I'm sure there are more good ones.

  • Great finds sir! That is quite the haul.
  • Congratulations on the ridiculous find. Most impressive. I'm curious as to what is in that Gameboy cart stack. Hopefully we'll end up with a full list of everything at some point. ^_^

I was thinking the same thing, along with the system itself.  My original GB and all my GB games are in storage right now, but the system I have isn't working 100% anyway, so an upgrade may be in order, at least if the bid I put on a CIB one holds for the next three days image
  • You are awesome I suck, you are intelligent, I am dumb, you are attractive, I am ugly...what a score! I am jealous. I pay way to much for stuff.... stop it!!!!
  • Yeah the DS has one dead screen, but I just ordered a replacement one off of eBay. Theres a SP there too I was told has problems. Aside from that I was told everything should work. I did a list of counts, but not titles, although I believe my son decided to make it a group effort and draw on the paper - it's gone missing, lol.

Anyway it does reek of smoke unfortunately, so its gone into the shed for a month to air out.

Nice eyes too smoking joe. It's not all like Earthbounds and Chrono Triggers, but theres's a Zelda L2TP, N64 SSB, etc. Some decent titles. Lot of SNES games I havent played.

GB games were like 5 Pokemon games, Zelda, Donkey Kong and something else.

She apparently has MORE stuff (PS1+) in her basement she'll dig out for me eventually as well.
  • I but some dryer sheets in a box of items that smelled horribly of smoke...I think it wound up helping
  • wow dude, thats a great deal.

When reselling you will triple your money, maybe even more.
