Safely removing superglue from a ROM?

Picked up a Mario 3 from the local game store for a whopping 50 cents.   When I got it home to clean it, I found out why.   Looks like a dog or something got a hold of the cart at one point, so the previous owners superglued it back together.

No big deal, except that once I finally cracked it open, I noticed they GLUED THE ROM TO THE PLASTIC!   

Just wondering if there's any solvent I can use to dissolve the glue without harming the ROM.  If not, I'm only out 50 cents.....

I don't know if there's a solvent you'll be able to get in there...you may be better off taking a flat object of somekind (a metal ruler would probably be ideal if you have one) and basically just break it off.

Is there a reason you need to take it apart? Do you have another donor shell or something? This sounds like a candidate for Paul's collection, maybe you should just leave it be (and make a tiny bit of profit?)

I have another donor shell I was going to transfer this one into (the label looks surprisingly decent), and the game was coming apart a little when I bought it.



Funny thing is, you could probably play it with no back with the way it's glued on right now.
