It is 61 here today, perfect weather. This is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are changing, college football, warm days and brisk nights. Love me some fall.
i hate fall. but i live in a place that has non-stop rain until it is cold enough to turn it into snow. then after that, it rains a whole bunch more until it is nice again in late May.

I totally agree, the weather in TN is perfect right now..
I just hate being at work.
Makes for a great time for flea markets, not too hot not too cold...
A week and a half ago, I was driving through the Rocky Mountains at 4:00 am one morning. It starts raining, then, next thing I know, it's snowing, HARD. It smowed for about 45 minutes of the ride that morning. Scary shit, driving up and down those steep ass, twisty, turny roads. That was the first week of October. I'm glad I don't live there!
Chicago last week was at 80 degrees and humid. That was the week of the Chicago Marathon where one person died and they cancelled the race after 1130 due to humidity. That was Oct. 7
Now, its been a steady 45 - 55 degrees, wind blowing hard - great sleeping weather!!
I love fall in the midwest, but winter is even better. We get whipping winds here, below freezing temps and tons of snow. There's something so beautiful about walking down the street late at night after a snowfall - you could literally hear the snow melting.
I miss the snow we havent had but one decent snow in 8 years. I remember 93 when we got over 3 feet. then in 95 we got 28 inches and another 26 inches on top of that. I dont like the one inch or less snows all the do is make the roads a mess.
It is about 28 here, the air is crisp and it smells great outside. I have a roaring fire 10 ft behind me and it has been a great day Freaking love this time of year.
I must be the only one here that doesn't like cold Anything under 65 gets cold for biking, already generating my own 20 MPH wind chill... 65 is when knee warmers go on, 60 is arm warmers, 50 is jacket, etc. Fortunately around here under freezing is rare even at nights, and under 40 is rare during the day!
I was born in central Wisconsin, a place quite a ways removed from any urban centers (60 miles north of Madison)... It snowed the day I left the hospital, and that winter reached as cold as -40 (-80 to -90 wind chill). Four feet of snow wasn't that uncommon there. Here in Tennessee, though, it's kinda warm during the winter...I used to wear shorts to school in February (20 degrees in the morning, 45 during the day). I've been walking to and from work in no more than a short-sleeve shirt and slacks, even if it's 30 degrees.
