I recently purchased my first VB ($10 with Wario Land image). It's a lot of fun but I've discovered that it suffers from a very common malfunction: the left LED displays horizontal lines every so often. I've done some research, read some tutorials, and watched a few videos of a soldering procedure that seems to remedy this issue.

I'm not going to ask how to fix this issue because I already know how. I'm just wondering if anyone who has ever tried this has had negative results? Maybe you have some helpful suggestions?

I don't want to botch this whole thing, even though my loss will only be $10. You'll know I've failed if you see a post in the B/S/T category reading 'WTB: Left LED/PCB for VB', and believe me nobody wants to see that. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks for readingimage
